Of course Gordon pretends we traded off the old core bc of an “ownership issue” 😂 this is literal insanity. THEY MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. All three of them thought they were worth about twice as much as they actually are. Ownership and the front office NAILED that and whining about it now is just a complete joke
Cubs handled their business against bad teams all year, and didn't against good teams, the same good teams they might face in the playoffs, if by some miracle they get in, simple as that. You needed better pitching to beat those better teams, because they got hitters. Even if Alzolay and Fullmer weren't injured right now, you would still need a better bullpen than what they and every other pitcher in your bullpen can offer, to make a dent in the playoffs. That being said, I still think the season can be viewed as a success. I picked them to end up 3rd in the division.
This team was not expected to make the playoffs. ( I didn't see it happening ) Swanson 26mil. 22 homers. Same as Wisdom with twice as many at bats. Their gonna lose Belli. Pitching is a mess.
Why the hell would anyone want to see the Cubs in the post-season this year? They would absolutely have their asses handed to them!

even with MLB and Ump help, we still could not catch fly balls or play defense to win the games. They threw 3 rookies and we use our top guys and we still got swept. maybe next year

This guy bungled 17 games that the cubs could have and should have won…the problem is david ross…even if you add quality players to this,david ross will mess it up.Dont be an apologist for david ross.
