In this live stream edition of my weekly YouTube Golf Rundown, we highlights some of the best videos of the week, feature recent trends among some of the top YouTube golf creators, and consider a new threat to YouTube golf. If you enjoy watching top creators like Rick Shiels, Good Good, GM Golf, Bob Does Sports, Grant Horvat, and others, I think you’ll appreciate this live stream and my coverage of the YouTube golf space as a whole.

  1. I agree that some of the bigger golf channels will shift towards vlog content because the YT algorithm gives and the YT algorithm takes away. If its really popular then those channels will absolutely capitalize on that, after all they have a business to run and "mouths to feed."

HOWEVER, I think that gives smaller channels a chance to rise up and fill the niche left behind, because there will always be space for golf on youtube, especially as the audience grows. You have to think that the die hard PGA fans aren't as prevalent anymore, and anyone under thirty will be the primary audience soon…and as the younger generation has kids then those kids will also watch. Should be an interesting market shift in the coming years.

  2. Might should have changed the title to The Golf Clan Livestream may be in trouble. Lol from South Carolina!

  3. Totally agree with regard to Vlogs. I watch GM Golf and Good Good for on course content …. Not for updates and coverage of Garret working out in the gym!
On another note, maybe he’s not doing appropriate figures at the minute but you could include The CEO of Golf in updates. Remec is producing some good content and is one of the better players in the space. I’d personally love to see him play a series against Grant. In the UK James Robinson also.

  4. In terms of ranking “clickability”…
    Rick Shields
    Good Good
    Grant Horvat
    Peter Finch
    B.D.S
    James Robinson
    Tubes and Ange Golf Life
    The CEO of Golf

    Everyone else

  5. Garrett staying up until 6 could be a number of things besides putting the vlog together.
Good good doesn't need to have a gaming channel and this new guy in the house. They just had Brad and AJ move in so now it is really crowded. Sure, he's funny sometimes but his world isn't focused on GG like everyone else. He's a goofball. His dog poops in the house. I'd say having him around has more to do with Garrett being up until 6am. The guys are too busy to spend hours and hours gaming anyway.

  6. Besides the big ones, I think the YouTube channels that do more things with their fans are the ones that will thrive and survive in the future. Just a guess.

  7. Frankie Borelli said it best on their latest Four Play pod when he said that YouTube golf channels are constantly ramming these awesome experiences down people’s throats at courses that the average golfer will never get to experience because the cost is absolutely ridiculous. And as for over priced merch ….. 😂😂😂 there’s no way in hell I’ll ever buy something with good good on it for twice the price, but there are lots of people who drink that Kool-aid with an insane thirst 😮

  8. Grant, always see some good golf onnhis channel.

Terminator Golf is a smaller channel that cranks out quality course vlogs of mostly, but not exclusively Southern California courses. Really want to see him do numbers.

I'll watch a bunch of videos from Kyle Berkshire, even if his course play is completely unrelatable😂.

Alex Etches channel is a must watch, also.
