Its taken me 3 decades of golf to figure out that more help is never a bad thing. At a 6cap, my G425 irons are letting me play better, longer. Ians set with the Paradym was too funny. Absolutely stick from 190 over and over again. Makes ya wonder……
Will you do a video for senior golfers too I would love to see that
How about a Best of DTC?
I’m in the market. Waiting for next year. I struggle with chunky look and turf interaction with wide soles. I want forgiveness, but workable. I bought zx7 and struggled. Wilson D9 forged and struggled. Currently gaming the cf19 apex. They are good but not as workable. Looking for that tweener iron. The new apex have gotten too big imo.
Only thought I had was which Ping would have been in this group?
I’m sure I’m not the first to say this, but would have loved to have seen this test done at a slightly slower swing speed. I think that’s where an iron like the T350 really shines given its launch and spin advantage.
I was so excited to watch this, THEN, I saw Ian swinging like Ian. Mid handicappers ARE NOT swinging those irons at 91+ MPH….. still good video, but dial it back & miss some of them buddy…..

Always curious who these irons are for as if you’re new to golf and committed to improving, why wouldn’t u start with the t200 /p790 vs going full t300/stealth hd. Feel like after a couple months wouldn’t be a drop off in scores and have more top end to improve
How about if you take 10 mid handicappers hit 10 balls and then analyze their 5 worst contacts to compare these irons? Not sure this guys center hits are indicative of "Irons for the average golfer…" Average golfers are either looking to tighten their misses or go to the next level with feel and workability. This showed neither.
I just got fitted last week at the Des Moines location, Paradym X was the winner by a long ways
Average Golfer could mean average equipment. A missed opportunity not doing a direct comparison to the more affordable DTC brands.
@Ian … how would you compare these irons to DTC like Takomo 101T?
Does Club Champion give the PXG HEROES discount? If so, $$$ talks. PXG all day with that kind of savings….
Curious why t200 wasn’t in here as it and p790 are essentially the same loft and size wise?
Wide soles are sometimes Not a good fit for guys who are super shallow
Paradym seemed an odd inclusion. Irons named after the driver, Ping aside, always seem lesser… clearly not in reality but I don’t think Callaway, TM, Cobra do themselves no favours on this front.
You should have included Sub 70 in the test.
When I’m striping my irons I play my T100. When I’m not, im playing the ZX5 Mk2. Like Ian stated, an incredible looking club. Very forgiving on low strikes.
The average golfer shouldn’t have anything longer than a 7 iron in the bag. No ego! I play Ping 430’s with 6, 5 hybrid and I am now a 4 handicap because of it.
Please add spin number in place of closure rate. It looks like you're spinning these six irons 2400 RPMs when the screen flashes to the result.
using GEN4 0311p atm… they feel great 19hcp… which has been going the wrong way this season…
I played in a tournament this year with a two time winner on the senior tour no heat this guys older now play the Paradine irons could not hold a green now he doesn’t swing as fast as he and which most of us don’t so maybe we need to have Mikey hitting these clubs to see what they’re really like or maybe even someone even a little older and slower aren’t these clubs supposed to be for like a non-pro? Who else is hit the Paradine irons and has a problem holding a green let me know.
The only thing about the zx5 is how the back of them mark up as it's a plastic insert. They can end up looking quite scruffy. Front is fine though. 😂
Wish you guys would use a Average golfer. Or a few guys to swing the clubs
Only 25% of golfers are 18 handicap or better. You don't need to be an 18 or 15 handicap to play Paradym or t350 irons.
Aren't these comparisons kind of null/ void? What I'm saying is I got fit for a zx5/ zx7 combo but I play a low spin ball due to me spinning irons excessive. So, the tests actually don't apply to all golfers? I'm not trying to discount the video it's just a question that makes sense to me. I appreciate all the hard work put inyo the channel, and absolutely love the videos you produce.
Spot on on the ZX7…They need to refine that top line to more resemble the look of z forged at address. Phenomenal clubs though.

Guy, any way to do a vid on shafts for mid-low handicapper? You mentioned in this video you switched to your shafts for these tests. It would be great to hear from you on the various characteristics of shaft technology and affect on shots in layman's terms. Thanks
