  1. I think he's fine! His net worth is $800 million ! Like me betting $10K. Irrelevant!

  2. The biggest issue I have with all this is Rory saying that Phil can bet on the Ryder cup since he won’t be a part of it. You wouldn’t poke fun at a recovering drug addict or alcoholic so why a gambler. Good luck in recovery

  3. Nothing but BEST WISHES to him and his family and true friends…Extremely difficult to admit it and then stay the course in recovery! All the best to him…❤

  4. This feels like a year old, not an hour old. Phil has been open for a while that he has gambled like crazy and lost about 100$ million, which sure is a lot of money.

What I get from this is a guy who has been at his recovery for a while now and is ready to start helping others.

This is a great message from Lefty. As gambling becomes widespread we will no doubt need messages like this to resonate with people.

  5. What's true is any addiction changes your decision making processes and creates goals for those decisions that are different absent addictive thought. With Phil, it isn't hard to imagine that gambling influenced his decision to blame PGA personalities for his inability to "focus" on his game leading to his need to join LIV. He's a big boy making adulting a lot harder on him and his family than it needs to be.

  6. Phil should have taken a cue from Tiger and banged a few cocktail waitresses instead of becoming a degenerate gambler. He would have had more fun, saved a bunch of money and be spared the disappearing of his reputation into the toilet.

  7. Explains why he sold out to the murdering, corrupt Saudis; MBS very likely had his IOUs. MBS likely has something on the PGA tour commissioner ; his sudden about-face needs in-depth investigation. MBS is notorious for using the Israeli cyber weapon Pegasus !
