ABOUT DANNY
———————–
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.

I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

We look at 3 things:

1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver

and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

  1. Brand new golf addict here. My swing is so inconsistent. Great explanation video!

  2. Hi Danny. Instead of "1 and 2", I use "Ham MER THROW!" based on one of your other videos. I like the hammer throw visualization and tempo because it helps me keep my hands in sync.

  3. Great video Danny, all these tips are really helping me to improve my game. Keep up the great work.

  4. Massive yips on the tee with my driver. Cant complete my swing. On the range..Toptracer playing 18holes at Oakmont..77 find all fairways, average drives 245yds and no struggle with drives. Its killing me.

  5. This works danny, have just tried each step as you suggested,
the clubhead arc bottomed perfectly every time withoud any
feeling of steering or adjusting!! yer a genius 😌👍👍

  6. BINGO ! Great video Danny, I just realized I don't move my head when I swing, no wonder I have no flow!

  7. This is exactly what I was doing last week and allowing the club to fall at impact which somehow forces you to put power into the down motion. However, your description is far more detailed with the 9 to 3 clock analogy. Top lesson Danny and keep up the good work. Stay well.

  8. Danny, have you ever done any videos on over swinging. I wS off 7 at the start of the year. Now I'm lucky to break 100. I'm trying not to over swing but I'm still doing it and it's completely ruined my game. This goes from driver all the way to wedges.

  9. The 1 and 2 rhythm thing I believe is the most important tip in golf. For every club and for every shot, including putts and chips.

  10. Danny, your videos are not only helping improve my game (and fun on the course) they are giving me realistic targets to aim for continuous improvement and enjoyment. You are so good, that using your "savoir faire" in teaching golf, I was able to help my wife! Which in rather un believable since she is a better player than I am. Gracie mille!

  11. Danny . I play golf under 2000 ball. Only by watching your video. My friend didnt believe that i learn only by watching youtube. Thank you very much danny. You are the best teacher i ever had

  12. Danny, i tried the 9/3 trick and kept my arms straight on my round if golf today and it was amazing. Played great, apart from my putting! Thanks very much for the great tip!

  13. Love this, Danny!! Can you give some tips for us older players to add some flexibility to our swing. Looking for the best exercises to increase flexibility. Love your videos and always waiting for the new videos to come out

  14. Danny great lesson, I struggle with my rhythm, rushing my downswing, which causes me to come over the top and you know what the outcome is straight right. I going to try this at the range. Thank you

  15. I think this drill may help me with my balance which isn't the best after a small stroke 2 years ago. My hand strength is poor also and this drill may also help keep me from over swinging. I do enjoy your weekly lessons Danny and appreciate your simple approach to the game.

  16. Hey Danny, super helpful! The title page of the video says “Don’t look at the ball” But if I understood you correctly, we should still look at the ball—just with our head doing the water-out-of-ear exercise, right? For me as a beginner, it would be mayhem if I wouldn’t look at the ball.

  17. Perfect timing Danny. I was so over focused on loading the right elbow in the takeaway and spinning my forearm down as per Pete Cowen's live lesson (because it worked so well the first few times at the range) that I think I've lost the width and rhythm, put my swing way out of sorts. Did the 3-9 swing too after some shanks, good to know that it's the right "reset" button. Back to the drawing board!🤦‍♂

  18. Oh Danny, every once in a while your matching of concept and language really strikes a chord with implementation! This “lesson” – I wish – is gold and everything in the swing is in balance – because – “we have time”! Love it – hips move – not rotate…space in the downswing…boom opps 2. So good

  19. How interesting! I have just read some of the other comments and the key point really is simple, practical, clear instruction! Simple suggestions about space to swing, time to “gather” a heave bag, pivot not sway, pressure not shift are such a useful refining of “traditional” golf speak! If you are new to this Chanel – this one is worth rewatching a few times just to get all the good stuff!!

  20. It was all going well, till you showed the slo-mo's and your 9 to 3s suddenly became 11 to 1s, still like the sentiment though👌

  21. I have been following for over a year now and this is the most amazing video of all. I do need to ask you a question. When you bring the club back do you use more of your right arm or your left arm during the backswing to guide the club back? Thanks for everything that you do, it is truly awesome.

  22. Hi Danny, I am an 82 year old man and have been following your teachings for many years. I now play the forward tees, between 5500 and 6000 yards. My current index is 19.0 and last week I shot my best game in 2 years 77, thanks for your help.

  23. I tried this at the range today… I made myself think " wide back, wide through" and made a conscious effort to keep everything as wide as possible
I found I was striking the ball really well with divots after the ball. Everything just seemed to 'happen'… 😁

  24. Hi Danny, Good advice, but what if you cannot rotate below the waist due to paraplegia?

  25. Just tried this out at the range and it works beautifully. It especially helped with my hybrids and fairway woods. This may be my new permanent swing. Thanks, Danny Maude!

  26. This is a great lesson Danny. One question is about shallowing the club on the way down. Can you tell me how that's achieved regarding the circular motion shown in the videos? Thanks.

  27. Love your videos BUT–you don't stop half way back and you can see in your early slo-mo that your wrists are hinging. It's extremely difficult not to wrist cock when more than half way back, no?

  28. The watermelon (heavy bag) drill is perfect for learning the lateral shift that starts the downswing with 98% of all ams dont do LOL. It literally replicates the hips toward target so perfectly. Remove the bag and replace with a club and you are good to go!

  29. Love the videos. Struggling with contact on irons. It actually hurts my hands when i hit irons because of the klank, if you will, from not making proper contact.

  30. Thanks for giving permission to move one's head during the golf swing, Danny. The "water out of the ear " suggestion is very helpful.

  31. This is the video I’ve needed. I’ve been struggling with an open club face for a while. And I realized I have to much wrist bend. I will be trying this st the range Friday then using it on a course Sunday.
