  1. Ian is a strokes gained guy – can tell he cringed at the “drive for show putt for dough” line but now wasn’t the time for that rabbit hole! Nice video gents

  2. could you change the weights on the bottom of the putter to try and dial out some of the toe hang whihc may be leading to the open face with the scotty ?

  3. So is the future of putters gravitating towards adding more and less weight in the heel or toe to better suit a players stroke, meaning different weights or no weights at all to accommodate a players stroke?

  4. One thing I noticed that Ian didn't really say anything about – going to the stability Tour also seems to help his shaft angle at impact, probably aiding launch, and his face at impact seems to move less. Do stock putter shafts really "kick" that much?

  5. Guys, nice content! I am interested in what you oppinion about putter shafts like BGT Stability shaft or LA putter shafts. Can you make content about different putter shafts? Try to check the data. Thanks guys and let me know. Peter

  6. Would swapping out the face on the Jailbird fix the problem? Just an idea for Odyssey, maybe time for them to make a putter with a changeable insert 👀

  7. Would love to see you guys reveiw the KBS GPS putter shaft, seem to be a popular compeditior towards LA and Stability.

  8. Do like this tech stuff thnx a lot. Like to try things myself, switched lately from flatcat (with 40 grams weight in the handle) to heavier P2 Reflex Tour grip putting grip now….feels with the pencil grip very well and giving me more face angle control somehow imo. I'm playing a Ping Sigma Tyne 4 green dot. What do you think about grips like the P2 grip or Evenroll if I'm right where the shaft is angled in different ?

  9. I was always pretty decent at putting, or so I thought, had a putter fitting a few years ago on the Quintec system. Came away with a Ping Tyne 4, always used blade putters before. My putting stats for this year are, 1.81 per hole, 32.67 per round. If i could only get more G.I.R's, it's total rubbish at only 30%, I'm sure I could get my handicap down, it's 15 at the moment.

  10. I got fitted at a CC using this tech. Wonderful and truly eye opening. And when you get the right one it’s magic. In my case it was the LAB or the Evnroll Zero. I went with the zero due to feel off the face and more consistent speed than the LAB. Both types are lie angle balanced.

  11. More putter testing. Do you have access to different methods? Track man, Sam, Foresight? Interested in your take on putter fitting indoors and out. Testing the putter tech just like the woods, irons, wedges.

  12. Nothing I've tried in recent years can knock the stroke balanced Odyssey 2-ball Backstryke out of my bag.

  13. Question to be answered, there’s a club champion a few hours away from me in Washington, I need driver shaft fitting for my TSR3 are they the same as you guys fitting wise ?

  14. You missed one putt….. If you're feeling it , you're sinking it. I learnt to putt for years before playing golf.
50 pence in the 80s got you all-day at the crazy golf and 10 hole putting green. Putted right handed and left handed.

  15. That was great. Felt like you only scratched the surface. I’ve been toying with the tri-hot a little as well. I have a blade and a mallet. Makes me want to go grab one and have an honest go.

  16. Yes love it! Great video! Going forward for putter month, need more on these aftermarket putter shafts like Stability Tour and others please

  17. So sad that golf company's still only make certain models for right handed golfer's only…………🤬🤬🤬

  18. Carpet movement was an issue. Would like to hear more about why the jailbird was so bad, because it seemed to have so many pluses. Show us that push pull data for the jailbird as well.

  19. It’s hard to question the greatness that is the man, but Scotty needs to come around on alternate shaft options. Stability and especially LA are substantially better options than steel.

  20. I recently switched to no line on the ball set up AND no practice strokes. As a result I’ve also found this style of play works best with a blade. It’s totally intuitive and I don’t worry about making a perfect stroke.

  21. Very interesting guys. I would love to have a Quintic putting session to get those extra fund margins

  22. Can you release the video on the new shaft option fitting in the Champion’s Choice? I have the CC Newport 2+ and also feel the shaft is too soft. My alternate gamer is a Odyssey Double Wide Stroke Lab which is stiffer and counterweighted. I think you alluded to doing the same recipe for the CC. Thanks!!

  23. This is great. I would love to see more putter videos in the future. For how small and simple the putting stroke seems there seems to be infinite variations of putters, more than any other club. The conversation about loft is interesting as i found increasing loft for me helped me make more putts and hit my lines soo much better. Adding loft also helped my alignment as the face didnt always look open. Keep putter videos coming!

  24. Great video Ian and Mike! I’d love for you guys to cover the different face options. I just finished my full bag fitting at my local Club Champion (fantastic experience btw!) and selected a Scotty Cameron Phantom X 11.5. I’ve been putting with Ping Anser putters for the last 30 years – started with a traditional cast, then moved to an isopur 2, and then to a Dale Anser vault 2.0 with a milled face. After trying several of the putters that have the polymer inserts, I concluded, they were just too soft for me and I couldn’t feel the face… not a surprise, since I’ve been putting with a milled putter for a few years. What did surprise me were all of the milled patterns/methods being used across brands and how the patterns dictated firmness, acoustics, etc… lots of factors went into the putter I chose, but evaluating the different face materials and milling patterns was something I really enjoyed.
