Jeremy Mayfield had a lot of talent and fans that have backed him up from beginning to the bitter end. His career ended abruptly after a positive drug test would lead to one of the craziest stories at the turn of the millennium in the NASCAR racing world. Many drivers were able to bounce back from such controversies however Jeremy Mayfield was not one of those drivers. Why was that the case? Regardless of what the main circumstances were, there is one category that summarizes Mayfield the best, and that is a rebel. But what kind of rebel was he? One that followed the moral law, or one out of his own selfish wants. Well in today’s video, we will look at one of the biggest rebels in the sport of NASCAR. This is the story of Jeremy Mayfield.

  1. NASCAR targeted Mayfield. He was a nail that stuck out and NASCAR got their BFH and nailed him. Def deserves a redemption

  2. I relate quite a lot with Jeremy's story, as someone with pretty severe ADD, along with allergies to damn near every kind of grass, dust, tree, etc., I take medication for the ADD, along with several different medications for allergies. Though I don't have any real horror stories of people thinking I'm on meth, or saying I don't need that and should just pay more attention, I still understand the stigma and hate that it is the way it is.

I'm also a pretty selfish, stubborn and outspoken person like Jeremy, so I can 100% understand the issues those around him may have had with his personality. I don't remember what ever really came out of the situation, but from what I remember back then Evernham was absolutely checked out of his team and fully checked into at the very least funding (if not more) Crocker's career, which no doubt caused issues since she was honestly only mediocre at best. I've always struggled with not understanding why some people get racing opportunities when I never have, kids I raced karts with that were failing school, completely illiterate donkey's moving up the ranks, guys like Cody Ware racing at the top of the sport for YEARS while arguably being a worse driver than Nikita Mazepin, and a horrible human being.

  3. Watching Mayfield boot Earnhardt's ass out of the way never gets old … then watching Dale's middle finger tantrum makes it even better … but when Mayfield makes the "rattle his cage" comeback, and Especially by doing it from Victory Lane, True And Complete Perfection was achieved Lol-Lol(!!) 🙂. The '82 Southern 500 was the best race I ever attended, but I enjoyed the last lap action of this 2000 Pocono race more than any I can remember. Thanks, Jeremy(!!), 🙂 …

  4. Crewmember Dick Crocco had a part in the stolen property situation
He fled the country and was never questioned

  5. If you're running Cup you're making bank. Enough bank in fact, that you can become owner/operator like JM did. And if you're making that kind of bank, and you enjoy stimulants like adderall, (which was legally prescribed to JM) you're going to do coke. If you're broke, then you're gonna do meth. You're going to want to have your piss test done by a panel of three independent labs, not one crooked CRAPCAR crony Dr.

France Jr. stayed blasted on Roxies and alcohol, and that's one hell of a combination. He could have easily paid off three labs to give false positives on Jeremy's piss test or even have some meth put/slipped into one of his drinks resulting in a definite positive. And he could've had a crooked cop plant a substantial amount of meth on his property. There's no such thing as '1.5 grams of meth residue.' That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. Be assured no real meth user would leave 1.5 grams if residue in the bag. Just a sloppy twice failed frame job by some pots calling the kettle black.

  6. Nascar controls everything championships, fines, rules, money, time to make the change. Need new leadership if nascar is to survie. Go Tony Stewart start the new racing circuit

  7. You are incorrect on your assumption about NASCAR, I know a lot about how they operate, also know Jeremy Mayfield. I am not willing to have this conversation on a public forum writing short notes back and forth but would discuss it more privately with you should you be so inclined.

  8. He was s great guy who got screwed over by NASCAR. Other than the death Dale Earnhardt, the reason I don't watch anymore

  9. Jeremy Mayfield had no desire to be a Nascar puppet nor did he have a famous last name. Nascar screwed him over. His tests weren't positive for Crystal meth, he had been taking Claritin and prescribed Adderall for years. He had been on it way before he became a Nascar driver and was open and honest about what was in his system. Go watch the documentary about him and when he was on the Earnhardt Jr podcast

  10. Not the same Kentucky speedway. That was a local track. The big speedway wasn’t built until the mid-2000’s.

    pushed up nerd glasses 🤓

  11. Robin Miller called Franz the Village Idiot. I think that's spot on.. Reminds me of the Colts owner.

  12. What a bump & run
    Didn’t even wreck Earnhardt
Such a clean move and yet Earnhardt still crying & complaining like the little girl he was

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander

  13. You 100% lie about the Earnhardt Pocono race. Earnhardt was happy for him and said he would've done the same thing. The fans were going crazy (in a good way).

  14. Mayfield’s version of how things went with him are semi believable right up until the FBI raids his shop and we’re asked to believe the fuckin Feds are in on whatever weird vendetta NASCAR officials supposedly had with him. Meth screwed his career up

  15. I understand Rusty not wanting to share information with Jeremy. They may have been teammates, but they were each other's competition on the track. Let's face it, Jeremy was in Roger Penske's equipment at that point, if he doesn't win in that, he probably won't ever win. I don't know what happened with him, but it's a weird statement he made on Dale Jr's youtube channel about people just randomly walking up his driveway. I mean seriously, what?

  16. Honesty and mascar going to sh–destroyed him, but really karma is a bitch as nascar sucks more and more everyday

  17. Shows how Corporate money can control the outcome, even if it's a LIE. Brian France(a spoiled junkie). An embarrast "rock'n the cradle whore monger" Ray Evvernham. A NASCAR payed to lie drug policy Dr. A payed NASCAR snitch who planted evidence in Jeremy's property. God knows what else to ruin a great driver/person life, shame on all involved. Sorry Jeremy you never deserved this 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

  18. I've never understood why people love Dale Earnhardt so much when the guy was such an a**** and a complete hypocrite!

  19. I've got a mobile one leather jacket that he signed for me at Rockingham. I wear it proudly. I don't follow NASCAR anymore
