Suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is the Official Charity of the BMW PGA Championship.

Ahead of this year’s tournament, Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston and ex-footballer Robbie Savage travelled to the Peak District as they looked to challenge the stigma of opening up as they discuss their own mental health challenges and the importance of speaking out.

  1. never gotten over Gary speed taking his life, after all these years. It shows how well-disguised mental health issues can be. If only he could have felt there was an alternative. RIP Gary.

  4. Beef, I think I speak for 99% of golf fans. You are missed greatly. Your golf was superb but that’s not the thing you’ll be remembered for. It’s you that people warmed to and have come to love. Top bloke. Good on ya boys

  5. Beef is my fave golfer, but my love of him has gone up tenfold, what a guy, can relate to so much in this! Awesome watch, it's ok to talk to people, your not weak! Your braver talking than bottling, awesome stuff

  6. My dad is from the 60s generation that never opened up about trauma and their feelings. I think that is sad. Times have changed. Great video.

  7. Beef is such a cool dude and someone we all would love to have a beer and chat with 👍🏼

  8. As someone who’s main passion in life is golf, I dream to be these guys, I also deal with mental problems like depression and anxiety and I’ve been doing better but I need to make a bigger step, get a better job, start going out more, I’m almost ready and these guys motivated me even more just now, great dudes

  9. DP World Tour brings us the best content. Every other sports organisation can learn from them. Big respect to Beef and to Robbie.

  10. Beef & Robbie thanks for sharing friends that listen and support and will go for a walk are like diamonds

  11. That thought of "what would happen?" I thought it every day for years waiting for trains to and from work. Ive never suffered hugely with my mental health but life was hard and "normal" felt a long way away.
