I must disagree. I juat started playing golf last year I played the whites and was happy. Then, I played in a scramble where all the men had to play from the tips. I played that course 2 to 3 days a week for months from the whites and standing up on the tips and looking at the same Fairways I'd seen over and over again from the whites it looked like an entirely diffrent course. From that day on I vowed to play the tips no matter where I'm at.
Also: playing from the reds as a well built young man is like going to the gym and using fake weights. You should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourself.
Going low just happens sometimes, and it’s not always when you’re hitting it the best. Just make the birdies you’re supposed to make (5’s), hit it tight once or twice, make a couple putts, you’re -6 or better. The days that are less fun are when you stripe it all day and can’t make a putt.
have a friend who use to play golf in college and is still a scratch golfer. hes told me this same thing. he plays the forward tees once a week. he challenges anyone who makes fun of him to try and break par from there and funny how very few can. it makes play a completely dif game and makes you learn how to hit your clubs in dif ways and shots you usually dont
Depends on the course. Sometimes playing up brings in a lot of trouble, forcing you to club down or play more risky. Which translates to lost balls or ending up the same distance you would have been hitting driver from the tips. If you want to try this, choose a course with a low course rating.
This is such a good tip. I basically have two home courses one of them is top three most difficult courses in New England that I almost exclusively play from the tips except for a handful of times I’ll play the forward tees and the other is a really easy municipal course that I’ve been playing since I was a junior and share the course record, I don’t necessarily play the ladies tees But playing an easy course learning to shoot 29s and low scores etc. is key To not psyching yourself out on the course once you get a couple under par. You need to take each shot for what it is, just a golf shot that you’re capable of playing. That one shot at a time mentality has one me so many tournaments and titles. KISS

If you are over a 10 handicap you should play the font tees till you can break 80 every time you play.

Dude hits it in the trees and then shows us an 80 yard wedge shot.
Looks like Pine Tree in Kennesaw!

This is a really dumb tip, if moving up 10-20 yards can fix your golf game then you’re just misjudging your clubs 😂
Mentowity
No shot your going pro, you would already know
The push fade/slice will work well on tour
Why are you screaming at me Dad
A man with much wisdom 😂
