Dalton Rushing is yet another polished talented catcher from Louisville. Now if youre not familiar, Louisville U is the mecca of ridiculous catchers. Yours truly went there, Will Smith. Dalton is an EXTREMELY talented left handed bat, with an advanced approach & ridiculous pop.
I will go on record sayin, he will get a shot before Diego does. He needs to switch positions because his future catching for the Dodgers is slim to none.

Cartaya is hitting below 200 in double A, it’s not his time, and even so, Will Smith is one of the best catchers in the MLB right now, there is no need to replace him and it would be a waste to have cartaya as a back up. So they might just trade him for a good player
Cartaya is 21 yrs old. At that age will smith was barley signing with the dodgers and then spent 3 yrs in the minors before being called up at 24 yrs old. Cartaya will have his time, just not now. Being signed at 16 and now being 21 can feel like a life time in the organization. It's kinda like how people don't realize degrom and kershaw are the same age. It just feels like kershaw is older because he came up 7 yrs before degrom
