  1. This is why the front office dont make any sense. "Diego needs to play". that literally means he needs ABs and needs to play often. Something that the Dodgers cant provide. Barnes and whoever else is there, suck. You cant be hitting .091 and still in the big leagues. Barnes has been abysmal for years. I have a feeling Cartaya will be traded.

Dalton Rushing is yet another polished talented catcher from Louisville. Now if youre not familiar, Louisville U is the mecca of ridiculous catchers. Yours truly went there, Will Smith. Dalton is an EXTREMELY talented left handed bat, with an advanced approach & ridiculous pop.

I will go on record sayin, he will get a shot before Diego does. He needs to switch positions because his future catching for the Dodgers is slim to none.

  2. Dodgers need Cartaya and Smith I think Cartaya play 3b or lf next year because Peralta not coming and Martinez Max can be DH and 3b

  3. When you are not ready, you are not ready. The majors is a completely different level. A young player could be set back by coming up too early.
It’s not just catching, it’s also calling a game.

  4. Barnes (love him, respect him) but it’s time for him to get a office job! Yes he’s Kershaw main guy, so was AJ and they replaced him..

  5. Teams should recruit within their country’s and citizens ! This man should be on a Venezuelan team . Only chance he should have against U.S is in the Olympics !

  6. Every time Dave Roberts makes a mistake they should bench him or send him down to AA !!!
See how he likes it !!!

  7. Will Smith may be the best catcher in MLB and is in his prime. Dodgers would be foolish to replace him now with an unproven blue chip prospect. Cartaya will be dangled as trade bait for a starting pitcher.

  8. Cartaya is hitting below 200 in double A, it’s not his time, and even so, Will Smith is one of the best catchers in the MLB right now, there is no need to replace him and it would be a waste to have cartaya as a back up. So they might just trade him for a good player

  9. LMFAO did you say "Dave Roberts" shut those rumors down when Friedman signed Wynns? 🤔

  10. Great thing about the Dodger farm system is they have patience.

Outman and Vargas got their chances this year. Same for Bobby Miller and Sheehan and Grove.

All of them had some struggles. Better to ease them in. That’s why Dodgers have such great success.

Looking forward to see Cartaya play. It’s crazy as to how good the Dodgers can be still for years to come.

  11. He's hitting .191/.348/.459 in AA. He was trade bait, but now he's going to need another year in the minors in order to prove his trade value.

  12. Cartaya is 21 yrs old. At that age will smith was barley signing with the dodgers and then spent 3 yrs in the minors before being called up at 24 yrs old. Cartaya will have his time, just not now. Being signed at 16 and now being 21 can feel like a life time in the organization. It's kinda like how people don't realize degrom and kershaw are the same age. It just feels like kershaw is older because he came up 7 yrs before degrom

  13. superstar in the making versus savage superstars on every squad they face during the World Series run? not yet kid…see you soon
