  1. Matt just described why every OL in the AFCE is suspect. An OL exemplifies team, not individual play, and today's game is weakened by the OLs lacking reps. Every time we hear an evaluation of the NE OL it's always about the individuals and we miss the point completely (not to make excuses for poor team play at that position.)

  2. Mac Jones stinks. 3-14 season incoming. Jones will be bench early in the season and Patriots will be in tank mode. Belichick fired.

  3. Great interview Tom. One point of question…the notion that they didnot have anyone studying under dante before he left after 2019 is wrong. Popovich and bricillo both were there as assistants but between covid etc and reasons unknown lost both of them to other opportunities….i think matt was incorrect on this topic?

  4. Brady got into shouting matches with his OC's numerous times. LOL And Patricia/Judge were OC's in name only. They knew NOTHING about running an NFL-level passing offense. NOTHING!

  5. The #NFL Owners gutted the league when they signed the past CBA. Just so they could get a 17th Regular Season #NFL Game. The players are no longer trained well enough or battle tested! The #NFL product is not very good anymore!

  6. do not think Matt's take on Mac is great.

Yes Tom could have had the right to complain 5 years in, and yes Mac is doing it his second year, but let's face reality.

Tom was never put in a position as bad as Mac in his second year.

Just so we're clear, Matt would not want his quarterback to be vocal and upset about a situation that was creating schemes/routes so poorly his team-mates were getting hurt (IE hunter Henry) with them? ..what?

  7. EXTRA!: Tom Brady to win one more game for the Patriots, from the side lines. "His most amazing game" sources say.

  8. I like Matt but he’s making excuses for Belichicks weakness to build a competent contending team

  9. I don't agree with you, Matt. What's wrong is wrong. I don't blame Mac for calling things out. You can't compare him to Brady. Especially because they are different people from different generations. What Brady put up back then, not many athletes would put up with now.

  10. I totally disagree with Matt Light's take on Mac, he was put in a crappy position, his career was being hurt, and he had a right to complain and act out, period!

  11. I love Matt even more now..guys really love BB and fans like myself do too. To see what that brat Mac was doing last year was disgusting. Respecting your coaches is a big thing on the league, and to do what he did to the 🐐 coach is foul. Guys who Respects BB really had an issue with Mac because of that, and I really think Mac outcast himself after that. It was never the same and you can tell, Mac will be gone by the end of this season.

  12. A football team is NOT the military. And that is becoming more and more the case with this younger generation of players. The locker room has changed since Matt's been in there. Mac's "antics" last year did more to keep the team together than tear it apart. EVERYBODY was frustrated with Patricia, Judge and the whole carnival. Tom Brady would have gone ballistic with that set-up and then some. Tom would have just called his own plays…all the time.

  13. He did not underrate anyone . The Rooney rule has included offensive coordinators since 2021. He could not by nfl rules tell you he was waiting for bill O’Brien because a year of someone new to fire him wasn’t fair to anyone. Tf out of here Tom Curran. If I seen you I’m knocking you out for all of your shorty takes

  14. Nobody hates the Patriots as much as their own fans/media. Curran is like their pope. Dude was talking shizz about Jones first day of rookie camp. Light should be ashamed he’s doing what he’s accusing Jones of doing.
