This is a great video!!!
Great information, thank you. (Unfortunately, my inner 12 year old giggles every time you say little tool. Yes I’m 57, but still a child)
I love his swing and his release. I’ve seen close up slow motion video and after contact his left wrist really cups and right wrist bows. So he’s not holding off he appears to be releasing later. Is this momentum?
The thing I like about you Eric is you will change your mind. A few years ago I argued this pattern is ideal but dogma was still strong then and you rejected it for the opposite dogma. Glad to see things are shifting.💯❤️
Can you clarify what “passive on the way through” means? I have been working on exactly what you are describing by focusing on keeping the left knuckles down throughout the swing, which helps keep the toe in front of the heel, but find I am having trouble keeping my wrist conditions stable. I’m guessing being passive somehow relates to wrist conditions? Thanks for consistently good content.
I feel like I lose speed if I close the face as early as Hovland. The slight open-to-close clubhead movement FEELS like I'm accelerating the club more as I get to impact. Is this a problem? 😅
No offense but why does EVERY golf tip video on the planet start with "here's the secret move"?? 😉 Great vid btw.
I’m guessing this isn’t a great thing for people who hook the ball?
What I like about this is that I found there's a sweet spot for me between how much I twist my wrists and how strong my grip is. I found out what feels like a comfortable amount to twist and made sure my grip was the right amount strong to match that to hit baby draws. I get the ball started online more often and more consistent ball flight.
Viktor has an incredible swing but I can’t help but notice his chicken wing on release.
Eric, do you see a problem with right thumb being on the trail side of the grip? It feels powerful but I think it might be causing me problems with strike.
Eric, great video! Question: once you have carried out your "motor cycle move" and arrive at the first parallel with the desired 45 degree club face, does it mean you then keep the wrist unchanged throughout the journey from first to last parallel?
