  1. First of all I am deeply disappointed in Zach Johnson. This is man with legitimate morals and logic. All I can say as a former PGA Member is just what happened to integrity? The PGA picked these darlings not Zach and his "so called group of experts" Bryson, Dustin Johnson, were members of the 2021 team and they both had winning records. If we are going by track records Phil should be there as a Vice Captain. He is the consummate team guy. He doesn't bad mouth his opponents and unlike Fred Couples he is a nice guy to your face and behind your face. You pick Sam Burns, Rickie Fowler, and a smart little mouthy guy Justin Thomas Why? PGA is running the Ryder Cup selection… Now will watch Europe distance themselves from the Liv golfers. Stenson should of been Captain Garcia should be on that team, Paul Casey has always been on the dog pile, No Poulter, No Westwood, and more of the same this time coming from Luke Donald. Have you noticed how these two rival Captains are the "nice guys" of golf and their character is better and above any reproach. Gag me they are sell outs for their respective organizations PGA of America and the Royal Ancient goat herders. I hope the ratings tank for this sham. Shame on the PGA and its bias.

  2. I can't believe Ricky Fowler and Justin Thomas were chosen over Lucas Glover. I don't think we are putting the best players on the team.

  3. Cam Young and either Lucas Glover over Spieth and Justin Thomas is the way it should have been. Disgraceful Zach Johnson and boring golf. I hope they get crushed. Total scum.

  4. Zach,Zach,Zach what have you been smoking? I love JT but he is not on form,Rickie played well but him over Lucas ouch!! Brooks from Liv is a smack in the face to those who chose the PGA tour i hope they get smoked in europe

  5. I disagree with Zach. Koepka does not deserve to play. He bolted from the PGA so let him play with those guys. Glover and Bradley should be in. I like JT but he had a bad year. I feel for Lucas and Keegan. They both won tourneys and deserve to be there.

  6. The “click” is alive and well with the RC selection process. I guess Spieth andThomas can not go the bathroom without each other. A total joke.

  7. Zach gave me bad vibes during this process. He wasn’t candid and reminded me of a politician with how he answered questions about his selections.

The Top 6 in Ryder Cup points are automatic. He picked numbers 7 and 8 as well (Koepka & Spieth).

    Then;
    He skipped #9 (Young)
    Picked #10 (Morikowa)
    Skipped #11 (Bradley)
    Picked #12 (Burns)

    Instead of Young (9) & Bradley (11), he picked Fowler (13) & Thomas (15).

It certainly has the feel that being part of the “in” crowd holding more weight than performance. (“You just don’t leave JT at home”). Especially the Thomas pick over both Young & Bradley. Thomas hasn’t played well all year and wasn’t even in the top 70 in Fed Ex points (didn’t make the playoffs). If you’re using past Ryder Cup performance as your guide (JT has been great), then Ricky doesn’t belong (his record stinks).

At the end of the analysis, Zach picked guys that he and the other guys like. The buddy system. He has that right as captain, but I would be annoyed if I was Young or Bradley. Their only chance was being Top 6, like Harman & Clark if you aren’t part of the “in” crowd.

  8. JT is biggest mistake Zach johnsopn has done right now. When he falls flat and humiliates U.S team don't act liek you wsa against JT being on the team.

  9. Can't wait to see a match between Homa and Aberg. Homa being Jewish and Aberg being a redpilled Holocaust denier. 😊

  10. Well dats the PGA tour old boys for ya,.. zach is just a puppet captain. no "outsiders" no matter how good they perform. Thats why we got LIV. 2023 ryder cup will be europe's time,..and they got crap players too

  11. Won’t be watching. Thanks for putting a Liv player on the American team you’re going to lose anyway idiot

  12. If Team U.S doesn't win and we know why. Team U.S have to bring their "A" to Europe and they better be ready mentally. Team Europe is a very strong team.

  13. It's not about how good you play. It's about who you know, just like anything else in this world. Horrible pics with thomas And Fowler over Lucas.
    bradley

  14. In the end I am pretty sure 1-2 picks won’t matter that much for the performance of the team. It’s incredibly strong no matter what.

And yes, would have picked Glover over Thomas. Like Horschel in 2014, he made a very strong push in the end and to me he deserved it.

  15. JT is the lowest ranked US player at 26. Young, Bradley, Finau all ranked higher and playing better and Glover aswell. Risky decision by Zach but the guys they’ve picked are still world class and still playing decent golf. Team USA have their best chance since 93 of winning abroad. It won’t be easy but Europe have Rory, Rahm and Hovland but don’t have strength in depth. Ryder Cup is still the biggest event in Golf and I can’t wait to watch it.

  16. I didn't realize how awkward Zach Johnson really was. Always a risk putting a Bible Thumper in charge.

  17. I'm just telling you right now, there is no way, and I mean no way a homely guy from Drake is cool or good looking enough to captain the "Frat Pack". There's no rule you have to be American to lead the team. Camillo Vegegas was available. I'm just saying.

  18. I have a suggestion to improve this process. Get rid of the phony merit based system. Pick the top six Americans based upon world ranking points, and then let them select their BFFs.

Secondly, based upon what I’ve heard on the golf channel, give JT a lifetime spot on the team, it doesn’t matter how bad he plays, he deserves to be on the team.

  19. Regarding comment by JJG86 below, I believe Zach Johnson already admitted yesterday that the top six automatic qualifiers were asked to give input on the 6 captain's picks which is understandable. But, as I understand it, the original reason they dialed back automatic qualifiers in favor of more captain's picks was so that the captain could have the leeway of choosing the "hottest" players over the most recent past instead of someone who was hot in the prior year but had trailed off in caliber of play leading up to selection time. The premise made perfect sense. In this case, it seems to many people from these comments that this premise has been minimized in favor of possible player loyalties to BFF's and who likes to play with who more. That bastardizes the selection process "in my opinion" and sends the wrong signal to up and comers as well as older established veterans that in addition to performance based results, they need to play the game of personal politics as well (like Keegan by his own admission was trying to do with the "young guys"), just in case they fall between 7-12 on the "theoretically all important" Ryder Cup points list. If you're a true pro with an adult mindset who is used to going it alone, your playing partner for a match or two in the Ryder Cup should not be paramount. Going back a short time ago, Patrick Reed was clearly not a locker room favorite, but look at what he brought to the table in team spirit and his 3 Ryder Cup performances (7-3-2). Like the tour itself, pro golf is and always should be a performance, defined and quantifiable, merit based system, period. To retain integrity in the process, the Ryder Cup team selection should not diverge from that as it has done here in at least one obvious (JT) example. What he did in his two Ryder Cup appearances 2 and 5 years ago should be irrelevant. Regardless of outcomes, this has potentially set a bad precedent…the "JT rule" as someone commented… @JJG86

  20. I can only assume Zach is just another Tigod simp, who selected his team just to keep Tigod and his pals happy.

  21. Koepka doesn't belong in this and neither does JT. Bradley and Glover both won twice and they are probably never going to be this close again at their age. Thomas won nothing. I guess they aren't part of the Jupiter clique. Go Europe!

  22. I think it's a good set of picks, though I don't have much reason to have a different opinion. I think the picks will be good for viewership.

  23. Thomas should tell Johnson, I`m not worthy of a pick. Let someone who`s earned it play. Pick Bryson.

  24. He has picked 3 players who haven't won a thing this year and been out of sorts. Don't get me wrong they ain't bad players but to not pick Dustin or Bryson is complete and utter madness. Zac said the numbers guys have been doing the work and he hasn't chosen Gooch who is probably been one of the best players and his iron play is second to none and then you have glover who is RED hot. Simple fact is this isn't the strongest US team and shame on the people behind the scenes putting people in who "they like".
