Review of the new TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 wedges! The new wedges have a brand new raw groove face for maximum spin in wet conditions. A slightly more squared toe profile is in the update as well as some new sole grinds.
I have a MG3 56° 12° bounce TW grind. the thin beveled sole leading edge is great for chipping with a square face off a tight lie BUT on about a 40-60 yard pitch shot if i don’t open the face slightly I get a diggy shot that’s very low and long. Not a fan. Also from soft bunkers the sole is too thin, digs too much and I’ve been leaving a lot of balls short or even in the bunker. SMH.
I have a MG3 52° standard 9° bounce which I love! Decided to order an MG4 56 deg. standard grind, 12 deg. bounce. The TW grind is up for sale on ebay, Just too much manipulation needed, I'll leave that to TW! Nice to hear the MG4's are softer than MG3.
