Why did the STRAIGHTEST GOLF DRIVER ever made FAIL!?… #golfclubs #golfvlogs #golf
In 2015, a golf driver from one of the big golf brands hit the market, this driver was like no other driver we’d ever seen before! Today’s golfer ranked this driver the most forgiving club of 2015 and the straightest golf driver ever made! Why did it FAIL? If only we’d of bought more of these drivers, manufactures might have continued with this technology which made this the club the most forgiving and straightest driver ever to date in my opinion.

Hi Gary, I think they were released mid 2000s. It was the Vapor models in 2015. Really enjoyed the memories, though. I had the traditional version.
Test it against callaway ft3 square driver
You mean from the company Nik…E….. not nike,,,at least according to the man who invented the brand name .
I dont give a shit about the sound if it goes 250 down the middle 😂
Is that the Sq2 sumo?
I played a demo round with one of these when they first came out. It was amazingly straight but also annoyingly loud. After 18 holes, I knew I couldn't use it as my everyday driver. My buddies that I played with that day, also tried it for several drives. Everyone was impressed with the accuracy but turned off by the sound. Thanks for sharing!
Great video Gaz and I would like to see you play a few holes with it, I would like to see you get the callaway version of the square driver and do a comparison video with the Nike
No matter what part of the Uk you live in you can occasionally still here the unmistakable sound of the Sasquatch from time to time 🤣
Gary you and James need to a video on the Nike driver
I will never forget the first time I heard one tee off the hole behind me at the Belfry PGA where I was a member, it was utterly bizarre and so different, hated the sound and look myself in truth
I had an 8゚ one of these with adilla proto 60 shaft shaft'sit longest driver I have ever used but also but also the largest caboom
My wife and I still have our Nike SQ drivers which are still in excellent condition. I bought these in 2010 and the sound on striking the ball is like a dustbin lid. Happy days.
Brings back happy memories Gaz of when I was a Nike golf tart. Nike bag (that I still use), NDS irons and woods, Nike Ignite and One golf balls. I looked good, but still played crap! Actually tried the Sasquatch Square, but just could not get it high enough for decent distance.
I did buy a Powerbilt Slugger square driver (still buried in my garage as nobody else wanted it) and it sounds dreadful, but no denying it is straighter than most. Sometimes dig it out for a laugh, but more often than not it disappears again quick!
I give it 2 years before someone brings out a square driver with carbon to deaden the sound.
The loud sound definitely comes across in the video. They certainly wouldn't win any beauty contests but with that sort of perfornace who cares. Would love to see you using it in a match against James.
Welcome back Toheed! I used this driver for many years. I bought it after watching people hit it on the driving range. I loved it – gave me confidence that I could hit it well.
Problem was if you were on a covered range it made your ears bleed
Hi Gaz, I had one of these for years and loved it at the time. I bought it second hand well over 10 years ago and it was years old then. It was i think 2005 it came out. Sounded awful but I did hit it straight. still have the Sq 6 & 2 hybrids that came with it. still in mint condition and were great clubs! Had the pee taken out of me for the driver though!
I have a SQ 5900 Square head, looks to be a slightly newer version of what you are hitting. Truthfully, I have never used it in play, only in my net. When I saw the start of your video I paused it, took it out in my backyard and hit about 10 shots with it. All were very clean hits and seemed pretty straight. And that sound! Just like the one you are hitting! I may take it with me next round.
I had the Callaway FT every time I hit it a comment got passed but it did go straight I still have them in my garage somewhere but they haven't seen the light of day for years. Ultimately the noise drove me made, didn't mind the shape so much.
I have square head Nike hybrids which I use occasionally. They're great clubs. I had a Cobra square head (I think it was Cobra) Sounded the same as the Nike and I just couldn't put up with it.
The TaylorMade M4 I hit so many fairways with it and its long.
great video Gaz – I am not on Ebay now looking for one, honestly!
