1 double bogey and 4 other bogeys are not good for the program

  2. Big improvement from yesterday, but having a double, triple, and quad over two rounds ain’t it

  3. RichAf26

Thinks he can go pro yet isn’t as good as Grant, Garrett or Fat Perez lmaooooo

  4. LimpBiscuitsandTea

For his first ever event after a disastrous first round, this is a quality bounce back. Especially after he gets off to a tough start. Settled things down and had a respectable round in the end. Learn and grow

  5. Snoo_26060

I’m sure it was an awesome experience for him! Way to put himself out there, he should be proud of himself for everything he’s accomplished. F the haters

  6. Acelia21

Good for him. Hopefully continues to improve

  7. Afraid_Club7196

Good bounce back for him, honestly I am worried about his mental health and all the hate the dude gets for chasing a dream.

Unpopular opinion in this thread: +4 isnt a good bounceback when the course is super scoreable and the cut is -2 lol. +4 is strugglebus category, but yesterday was a total implosion.
A good bounce back would have been shooting even or better in these conditions. +4 is probably all micah has in the tank at this level, with this amount of pressure. He’s way too mental.

Currently 30 strokes back of the leader, maybe now he will realize he’s got to settle for getting clapped by Grant on YouTube

  10. OneMorePutt

Well, he got his money’s worth with all those extra strokes.
Fair play to him for bagging an invitation, but I’m not surprised he missed the cut by such a large margin.

Ah, I see the internet haters are out in full effect. Y’all act like he fucked your lady while you were out trying to break 100 on your local muni.

  12. eddiej21

Well he gave it a go. It’s a tough sport and it’s really wild to see how much talent is out there. He might not make it as a pro, but he’ll never look and wonder what if.

  13. Micah’s first 6 holes of first round. Good off the tee other than the fact that on at least a couple holes I question hitting the 2 iron, but approach and short game is poor. Distance control on irons and wedges is poor, chipping around greens is poor, and some poor lag putting: https://youtu.be/2d0MTZL9m0k

For all the haters I have one simple question, what did you shoot in your first professional tournament. Crickets….

If anyone wants to see what a real pro on the Canadian tour does to bounce back after a bad opening round look up the scores of Sam Jean. Shot a 77(+6) in round one because he self admittedly let his emotions get the best of him when putts weren’t dropping, then comes back round two with a mental reset and fires a course record 62(-9) to make the cut on the number with an incredible par on hole 9 (his 18th)

E: also found out today during round one he called himself for a two shot penalty because he still had slope on his rangefinder turned on when he shot the distance for his approach shot on hole 1.

These comments make me sick. So many people so unhappy with their lives they’re pissed that someone else is enjoying his. People that take more joy from watching someone struggle than succeed. I will never understand.

This goes to show the difference between being a good YouTube golfer who is the best of a friend group and being a professional golfer on a tour making a living is astronomical.

Playing under pressure, making putts when you have to, shot shaping etc is what can make you a pro golfer. Over the two days he a couple of 7,8,9’s on the scorecard! Embarrassing and he made a fool of himself. Mm I playing a pga tour event? No? But he won’t be anymore either. He’s taking a space from someone who deserves it based on ability and not the fact he has a YouTube channel

Good bounce back Micah! You went from the worst score on the day to…. pretty much the worst score on the day! Hell yeah!

  19. mlkraynak

Ospreys instagram page hyped him up. They only have about 1500 followers. Just wondering if they tried to get some more followers from using him.

  20. Red_Barchetta81

Everybody that hates on Micah are just no talent duffers who wish they could play as well as he does.

  21. murgeRekwest

    Of note:

Round 1 he scored +1 on the front 9 holes with 2 bogeys and 1 birdie. Then he scored +1 again on the front 9 holes with 2 more bogeys and 1 more birdie. So he finished +2 on the front 9 and +13 on the back 9.

There’s some consistency there and probably merits a positive takeaway. A good exercise for him, or anyone else who struggles with certain holes, would be to do a deep dive and find out what it is about those holes that caused him to make mistakes. Too aggressive on some tee shots? Going for the flag instead of the center of the green? Scared to commit to a tricky putt? Stuff like that. And once you figure out what your Achilles heel is on those holes, then you find your next thing to work on.

Would love to know the last 10 scores and handicaps for all these Micah haters.

  23. Equal_Mine_3427

He gets hate because of his attitude. So many times on camera Garrett has said that when people say he can play on tour, he says he’s not even close. Same with Grant. Micah has always given off the impression that he was better than everyone else in Good Good.

  24. 31nigrhcdrh

I don’t understand why he isn’t happy being a stout YouTube golfer, he’s got plenty of skill but even in the 1v1s he can’t even consistently beat whoever he’s playing.

  25. Timmy_Cupcakes

Also shows how much tougher courses can be in tournament conditions. I recently played a course that is being prepped for a PGA tour event and they started letting the rough to grow out to 4″. Though I am by no means a good golfer, a couple of my buddies are low handicappers and they all shot in the mid to high 80s. Golf is hard, and tour pros are incredibly good.

  26. cfahnert13

Why do you all live to talk shit on specific people? What has he personally done to hurt you? He’s certainly a better golfer than anyone making these comments. Just be fucking happy for the guy that he gets to live a dream we could only wish for.

  27. I forgot how many people in this sub are tour level and can say he did bad lol

  28. OrksOrksOrks25

Nothing but love for Micah, but this was totally expected. Rick has had several pros on his podcast that said you need to play at at LEAST a +6 level to even have a CHANCE to compete with these guys…and Micah just isn’t there. I hope he is someday, but seems a bit far off.

well lets take a look at his game, break it down. He’s long off the tee, sure, but its not how you drive its how you arrive. His iron game isn’t really that good and his short game around the greens and putting is atrocious. You have to have soft hands around the greens and you have to be able to putt. He can’t putt, sorry but just the facts. if he even wants to sniff the tour, he has to start hitting a 1000 balls per day and get a great coach. If not just keep makin YT videos, but please stop saying, “May just see a hole in one right here”.

  30. Nervous_Bit_3825

Taking short cuts and riding on other people’s coat tales is why he is catching heat. Everyone else has to grind out years of tournament play and spend lots of money. He has to prove himself and drop all this I’m better attitude and I don’t need to take the conventional path. Finished dead last.
