  1. Thought the subs were so poor, can only hope it’s cos they were blown out their arse but I reckon Tonali could of done the full 90. Also not fully convinced on Barnes, after watching Gordon Terrorise Trent I would of liked to see Barnes take him on a few times, seems like he’s not that sort of player which is a shame

  2. Every team and every manager is trying to ape
Pep by over passing and playing it safe. It is over complicating the game and they can't be Pep with inferior tactics and players. How about finishing sides off and keeping the other team out? Pretty passing performances seem to be the be all and end all now, not points!? Nice Guy Eddie needs to learn that some of his subs will have to miss out and not get minutes on the pitch when the match is finely balanced.

  3. Respect for speaking the truth and not sitting on the fence unlike another north east football journalist 🙄

Eddie hss turned this club around but is 100% to blame for today's result , Gordon was so instrumental offensively and defensively covering dan burn
    Tonali equally was sublime

Also think tindall needs to wind his neck in now he is part of the coaching staff and Eddie's no 2 , but his ego is starting to annoy me

  4. Tonali and gordan changes silly game was always in the balance isak for Wilson yes and maybe miggy for Barnes

  5. I do feel like if you're playing Liverpool and you're only 1-0 down you shouldn't really be bringing players off unless they're really tired or not playing well.
It's far too complacent. No disrespect to 'less dangerous' Premiership teams, but you might be able to get away with that further down the quality table. Not against Liverpool.
If you are prioritising Premiership – as you should – you have to be making exactly sure you're picking up wins at home.

  6. Another day at the office Craig ! and I am still shell shocked here in Indonesia after the final kick of the ball of yesterdays game , You could see Liverpool comming stronger as the last 20 minutes went on and what cost us the game? , Not putting the game to bed and trying to play the game out at 1-0 we have to be more cut throat from now on with all teams , I would have taken of Bruno and Miggi off but thats in the past now , Regroup and move on for the next game with lessons learnt ,Im sure Eddie and his team have taken todays events as wake up call not to be too complacent the future
Top Video Craig with some home truths about the game , Keep them videos comming have a great week mate

  7. Tonali is a good player wasn’t his fault today it was the changes fucked everything up love Eddie but when the game is in the balance don’t change as many as he did

  8. A number 6 ….keegan, beardsley & waddle up front never won without David MacCreery behind them so a good shout mate

  9. Daft isn't it. In my opinion it wasn't an awful performance, if it wasn't for Alisson and the woodwork we would be praising the performance. However, i dont thibk Eddie got the subs right and he probably (hopefully) knows that now

  10. A bit unlucky but you make your own luck. Not a good day at the office by Eddie. The first goal was very unlucky but Dan Burn looked miles off it for the second. A injury from Botman might bring burn back to center and Hall out at f.b to replace him.

  11. I saw Eddie's post-match interview and it was obvious he did not realise the error of his substitutions. Given the significance of this tactical failure and his lack of awareness of its root cause, this is a real concern.

  12. I am sorry but the honest truth of the matter is Eddie Howe is to blame for this result not the players. He removed Gordon who was about to destroy or remove taa from the game and Tonali who was running the game, he saw Liverpool were sitting in their half and was playing 1-2 with our back 4 to make the scouse cheats come out….Tonali and Gordon were MOTM
until Eddie did what he did

  13. We can pull apart Howes tactics or subs until the cows come home but what it boils down to is Newcastle didnt learn from the game at Anfield last season. If you cant win it dont lose it.

  14. A total tactical FU by Howe. The whole world knows we are vulnerable at left back, we sign the best young one in the country and he's not even on the bench then wham, 2 quick goals through the left back position and we lose. Howe hasn't changed his tactics in over a year and this will happen again and again until he wakes up. Burn doesn't have the legs against these wingers today, not his fault but his weakness.

  15. Can anyone clarify Dermot Gallagher's comments regarding the red card? He said the red was deserved because the foul denied a goalscoring opportunity AND it was OUTSIDE the box. However if it was INSIDE it would have been a penalty and a yellow! This is because they want do away with the double jeapordy rule (pen and red). For me, if it's worth a red then it's a red. The pen to be scored us not a guarantee.

  16. This is also why they lost to city the defence just isnt their fast paced enough burn was getting outpaced by nunez like its nothing this is why we need alphonso davies next window

  17. I suggested 2 days before the game that Barnes left and Gordon right then bring in Hall against Salah as his welcome present. Bruno has become a problem to me, his ego has swamped his abilities so now he has a habit, and last season, of being caught with the ball in dangerous positions as he dallies around. His casual stance has lead to at least 5 goals against us so I think he is now a problem for the team. Trips should go see Eddie the creature of habit and get an explanation for the subs he made they were so bad. Gordon and Tonali then big Joe??? WTF was he thinking? Can Longstaff play left back?? I think he'd be a good wing back.

  18. It's a measure of how far we've advanced in as much as the euphoria that Liverpool displayed at their win. Draw at Brighton we've collected exactly the same points from the same fixtures as last year. The progress will be not to draw 14 games across the season.

  19. Howe needs to be questioned. Just because you have 2 players pushing for a position doesn’t mean the have to swap them on 60/70 min every game no matter what.

The issues are glaring, wasteful players and someone to unlock the door… Players that we decided not to sign would have solved this.

Also, the best we’ve seen Bruno was when he had Shelvey behind him… We all thought they’d sign a quality defensive midfielder to release him… Tonali should probably replace him.

  20. Great reflection of the game. I am still in a dark room and it’s the next day. Gordon should not have been substituted. Longstaff wasn’t good when he came on.

  21. Great analysis as usual, Craig. It's always Liverpool and its always in the dying minutes. When will we learn ? You can write off the visit to Anfield already. I was really gutted with this result.

  22. Gordon done the most blatant of fouls on the pitch and didnt get booked.

Also. Newcastle committed 16 fouls – Joelinton done 4 in the first half. 1 booking to trippier. Absolutely disgusting refereeing. So keep that in mind when saying about Trents yellow. He should of had a free kick when he threw the ball away.
Virg’s reds was never a red either. He gets the ball albeit and the man. He is not through on goal he is to the left of the goal his next touch has to take him in, that we will never know. You cant just assume he would.
If thats in the box. Its a yellow and a penalty. So why is it a red outside? Makes no sense whatsoever complete bogus law

  23. Yet another poor Bruno performance, but we’re not allowed to criticise him are we? The sub’s were wrong today and Eddie has done so much good that we can forgive him that and mive in.

  24. One of the most frustrating games I've watched in years. Very, very painful ending to the game. Bruno needs dropped and humbled. Miggy is too predictable now. Why we didn't sign Diaby, I'll never know.

  25. You never EVER take off your best players. Absolutely seething with those substitutions. Bar Tonali we have not strengthened the 1st team. Barnes, Tino and Hall (£100m) will not get into the 1st team. You buy players to replace your starting 11, current players then drop onto the bench. We have only strengthened out bench, not our starting 11…And please get rid of inverted wingers!!!

  26. I agree 100% we are not as good as we think we are. I'm sorry but on other channels the consensus was we were gonna smash Liverpool and get revenge. On what basis considering our record against Liverpool we do not know how to beat these.

  27. Also I think we similar to Brighton who individually are not brilliant but as a collective unit are excellent. That's us also. Apart from the quality of isak I genuinely don't think we have any world class players and we distinctly lack real quality in forward areas
