Anthony Richardson is the one player on the Colts roster with athletic charisma – will that be enough to hit the over on the win line of 6 1/2 – or just enough to hold our interest?
Jonathan Taylor – will he be a Colt next week, and if so, will he play? Dan and Kent role play Chris Ballard’s conversation with a rival GM in a discussion of a trade for Taylor.
Steve Alford or Jay Edwards – who was the better shooter?
Indianapolis Sports Media is discussed – and their relationship with the Colts has evolved.

Two Big Brains attack a variety of topics – as always with boundless insight and remarkable humor!

  1. Richardson's pocket presence is exceptionally good. He's quick and strong and throws a good long ball. Players seem to like him and he (so far) isn't a self-absorbed ass.

    Those are my happy thoughts.

  2. I can't believe these two clowns are acting this giddy over a guy that completed 6 out of 17 passes and didn't even throw for 100 yds against players who won't even make the team p wow Danny boy it doesn't take much to impress you anymore does it

  3. This team is a 2-3 win team. At best they could win 2 divisional games. Pass defense is bad, rush is mediocre, QB is going to struggle, and run game will be non existent. They will load box against us all year and make AR throw.

  4. DD: "One of his great players…came out and said, 'Look, Urban [Meyer] treats you like a superstar if you're a superstar and treats you like shit if you aren't. He told you to go work and become a superstar and then I'll treat you like that.' See, I kinda like that. I do. The Colts to me are too kumbaya-ish."

Ha ha, weren't you earlier complaining about Luck and Doyle and Rivers and on and on and on quitting before they had to to escape the Indy franchise? You have it exactly backwards, the Colts aren't kumbaya-ish enough.

Look at the culture around the Seahawks, an authentic "kumbaya-ish" NFL franchise, and compare it to the Colts. The Colts are cold and corporate and select smart, well-spoken, Christian gentlemen as part of their business model. They aren't kumbaya-ish at all.

Give me the truly amazing Seahawks culture every day and twice on Sundays.

  5. Mo's gotta go!!! Mallory on practice squad. Keep Ogletree, Granson, and Woods!!! Double tight formation trying to cover Woods and Ogletree!!! WOW!! Nightmare for defenses!!!

  6. Per Wikipedia, Bubba Ventrone is the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator for the Cleveland Browns.

  7. Travis Kelsey is gonna make a million billion dollars in sports media after he retires.

All in-game interviews without exception suck.

  8. Yea but the Colts will have a different game plan for the opposing 1st string defense too. They played a simple offense last night.

  9. Dave Calabro used to (and still may) order Hot Box Pizza every Thursday Night. Drivers would fight over taking his delivery cuz he was a great tipper and he and his wife were extremely nice. He would order just a drink and breadsticks and still tip $5. I’ve thought greatly of him ever since haha

  10. This is by far the best sports show either of you two have done. Not because of the preparation or topics, but the realness. I knew Dan was that guy when he was on the radio and had to hold back but Kent kinda surprised me with the salty side 🤣 I like it

  11. I’m typically skeptical of the long term durability of mobile QBs Like RBs it’s a car crash every time they take contact. Wish he would slide instead of trying to run over guys.

  12. Everyone has tendencies but nobody has stopped Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson when they know it’s coming very much

  13. Ballard has said Taylor will be on the field as soon as he is cleared by the docs so why isn’t he and how can teams want him if he hasn’t

  14. I’m not judging this teams win total on 3 pre season games but I see the makings of a better team than what these guys think

  15. It's simply awesome to have acess to such a great conversation, not formal, lots of content! Thanks a lot for all this guys!!

  16. Kent is correct AR has a feel and he is decisive. Give him at least two full seasons and he will be fine. Besides Dan is just a basketball guy. 🙂 .Those are nice shirts.

  17. The biggest issue, minus o line getting injured and sucking again, the receivers have got to stop dropping passes. Always seems to happen at the worst time.

  18. What exactly qualifies Dan to talk about football??? His opinion is worth nothing on the topic….

  19. When I posted to the stats on twitter, it was half time, and I was busy live streaming my game reaction. I didn't have time to get nuanced. But I posted it because he did have a lot of balls thrown too high, or too low. But he does have a lot of good stuff. But you need to be somewhat accurate to be an NFL QB.

  20. You two together are awesome 👏 👏. I didn’t seem to see him look nervous at all which that makes me feel really good about him. I couldn’t blame him if he was, but to me he looked very cool and focused.

  21. Where is the team and even coaches to have JTs back on this.. there's absolutely no way this should he an issue at this point. Either way, he needs to play this year because, like he himself said, he put pen to that paper, but there's no way he doesn't get a nice extension if injury isn't too aggressive.
