Belated Happy Birthday Ali! I wonder if I am the only one who is excited to see how we move forward after Harry Kane leaving. Or is that just the masochist streak that you have to have as a Spurs fan talking?
Maybe Kane will be like Klinsmann and come in the mid-season transfer windows to rescue us from relegation.

As a Spurs fan, I hope Kane wins lots of titles and gets nominated and maybe even wins the Ballon D’or. But I have to say I’m happy that Bayern were beaten by RB Leipzig in the DFL Cup. Kane winning a trophy the day after leaving Spurs would have been salt in the wounds.
We had chances to win. Kane was part of those teams. He has to take some responsibility for that.
Vast majority of blame goes to Levy and some to the managers.
That said, we were lucky to have him. It’s finally done and it feels like a relief.
There’s great players here and we have to draw a line and move on.
I understand the sentimentality that goes with Kane leaving and I liked the guy aswell and think he has been a great player fo Tottenham….BUT…he did not want to be there anymore so £100 million for a player in his last year of his contract is a good deal. The timing also is really not an issue as Ange has already said he knew and so presumably did the rest of the squad. Now here are some unpalatable FACTS for the Harry Kane romantics out there. In 10 FA Cup Carabao Cup and Champions Leage semi final and final appearances Harry Kane scored 2 goals both against Chelsea in different ties and 1 assist against Sheff Utd. The other opponents were Brentford Man Utd and City and Liverpool. That is pretty poor and in most cases we had a very good back four and Dembele and Eriksen in midfield. Now here is a queetion that takes nothing away from Kane's legacy at the club but ask any Liverpool fan who would they rather not face in a CL final Harry Kane Gareth Bale or Luca Modric what do you think their answer would be? I think Levy and the board are really amateurish in everything they do football wise so this is just another unessecary saga in a long lisr of unessecary sagas

On the bright side Kane leaving for Germany is way ,way better than him going to utd or Chelsea or another in the PL ,where he'd be guaranteed to haunt us at every opportunity,we got 100 mill for a 30 yr old and ,with dier set to leave as well ,it's more of that older lot being replaced for the young and the hungry , may have ice in my veins but am actually quite indifferent now ,he's just another ex player and the club continues.Coys

It’s not about us giving Ange time or not, the question should be how long will Levy give him? The best managers in the world only last a season, he sacked one of the recent ones just before a cup final!!!
Levy’s biggest excuse and took to divert his mismanagement of the football club is to throw the managers under the bus, they don’t get the backing or time to make a build because Levy’s only plan is to get CL and the revenue from it, win or lose that’s as far as his ambition clearly goes, the other 80% of his time goes on property investments, F1,NFL, pop concerts etc.
For some unexplained reason many supporters and reporters think the he will suddenly change after 23 years of this same old same old… Make no mistake this club is Levy hotspur 1st and foremost, a rich man’s toy that he never wins at.
Some bizarre complaints from Ali here. Spurs can hardly be faulted for when they accepted the bid; Bayern didn’t offer what was demanded, until they did.
Also Kane’s decision to go to Bayern… perhaps he wanted to ensure Spurs received a great fee now, instead of waiting until January and getting a lesser amount, or even nothing at all next summer. Plus, you’d have the transfer saga dominating the entire club all season if he had stayed without signing a new deal.

I totally agree with mr Gold, we should not have sold Kane. His scoring and playmaking ability will be sorely missed. We saw that yesterday as the front three did very little all game, while the rest of the team performed quite well.
Again, Levy the tight frugal fool has done it again. Spending or selling late to get a deal has costed spurs season upon season. I have handed back my season ticket and only watching the 5 min highlights a week. Wsste of time, money and energy.
told you kane wanted to leave. there was never a chance he "was considering staying". Ledley King is a real legend for staying a one club man. Kane has ruined his legacy with this.

Dunno why everyone sticks up for Levy saying he's a good businessman. To me he has the form of a young office Temp with a bad attitude; Not winning anthing with harry Kane is actually quite hard thing to do IMO.
It’ll be the same old story. Selling Kane and buying Maddison, Vicario and Van De Ven, all fine players in their own right of course, really isn’t screaming ambition is it? Levy is a the biggest blagger in football and is going to con us all again.

As much as I find us still so frustrating as a club, for example, we really really like Eze, did we not have the chance to sign him from QPR for 15 / 20m? I remember us being interested then…just crazy how we do business at times it seems. So many missed opportunities, let's hope we don't make the same mistake with Gift Orban, who does look a sensation in the making.
But even accounting for that, I do think we have the right man in Postecoglou, I say that having been on the Pochettino should come home train. Postecoglou is so at ease in almost every situation, nothing fazes him, he oozes confidence and determination, the players look unified and reinvigorated again. May be a natural thing just coming out of the Mourinho, Nuno, Conte era etc, but Postecoglou has done such great work already. Really excited by what we can do even post Harry Kane.
I just hope the fans truly give him time, we will get some thumpings, you can see that. A top quality counter attacking side is going to dish out a proper walloping to us I think. But if we back him and the players through it, I think we can create something fantastic again maybe 2 or 3 years down the line. I know we all want it now, but we have to be patient with a manager at some stage, I think this is the one that deserves that patience.
