  1. The US proved that experience does not matter at all with the last Ryder cup.

  2. Anyway it pans out I still think Europe will beat my U.S. team. Something just doesn't feel right. But I can't put my finger on it so we'll see

  3. Sorry, Alex, but I couldn't disagree with any further. Europe need to blood some younger players.
Westwood, Poulter, Carey are ALL not playing well but would be great as vice captains. This is the main issue with the captains having 6 picks. If these players do not earn their place, so be it. For me, the Ryder Cup has gone from being an event you qualify for to a fantasy golf team competition. I would be furious if I had gone all year in the top 12 qualifying positions, only to be replaced by a "big name," who has been crap.
    Regards Col ❤

  4. Relief goosen won a major. Doesn’t mean he can play now. Molinari hasn’t been sharp. Am sure he has the ability. It’s just that he doesn’t have it now.

  5. I agree with Alex regarding Ian Poulter, most of the politics is driven by the media, and those stupid enough to allow themselves to be the mouthpiece for Jay Monahan, who was the puppetmaster. Rory should have maintained his friendships above all, and remained neutral. Poulter as Alex said is Mr Ryder Cup and would be a fierce player and or vice captain, above many of the others.

  6. I would have so much liked Poults to make it, either as a player or as a V-Capt. It's going to feel weird (and very sad for me) not to see King Ian there!
    Anyway, can't wait to discover Luke's choices…
    Cheers mates!

  7. I’m team Alex on this one, if being Italian playing in the Ryder Cup in Italy doesn’t raise his game, then nothing will.

  8. I like Francesco but he hasn't played well since he choked at the Masters. He's 172 in the world. Surely he can't be considered as a player

  9. Molinari is absolutely nowhere near the team based on form in the last couple of years, it would have been an absolute farce if he’d been picked. There’s no lack of experience in the team either, there’s a good 7 or 8 who’ve played a decent amount of Ryder cup golf and won majors recently
