mark davis should be given an invitational tour card as a proper high class snooker player who kept his professional status for 30 consecutive years and is actually a world champion(6reds) ! if they gave jimmy and hendry invitanional cardd why not for mark ?

Joe Perry was understandably emotional but Rob Walker seemed like he just got exonerated from a wrongful murder sentence. He is the master of faking false emotion.
Whilst I agree you shouldn't throw a match under these circumstances I think I would have. My best mate dropping off the tour just so I can go to the crucible and get knocked out in the first round is not worth the agony my mate would suffer emotionally. I'd have made it look like I was trying to win but to keep his place on the tour I would have made sure I snatched that black.. poor Mark he must be feeling devastated
What a nice guy he is, fantastic temperament with nothing but respect for his opponents, I hope he has a great world championships

Very gutted for Mark Davis, but since these two are good mates I’m sure Mark will be cheering on Joe during his matches this year!
Oh my god! I’ve just listened to a 147 podcast with Mark. Now I’m even more sad for Mark. I suggest everyone to listen to that podcast. You will not regret!
