Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

  1. Nice ball striking Rick, well done! As far as the numbers there doesn't seem to be much between the Taylormade and Titleist but as far as looks go I'd put my money Behind those Titleist irons any day.

  2. You can get them 2019 P790s for £700. Guessing the 2023 T200s are are around £1300. No gains in irons after 4 years but they do look amazing and i might buy them 😅

  3. Rick has been my favorite YouTuber for a long time and I love all of his stuff; however, I don’t feel as if we are comparing apples to apples. The P790 that Rick is comparing is a 2019 model as compared to the brand new 2023 T200. Stop the video at 5:11. You can obviously see that the P790 is one of the older models.

Now I’m not doubting the efficacy of the new T200’s but I wish he would have compared the newer model of the P790’s as they have made significant improvements since 2019. I don’t mind being wrong, but I feel as if that’s not a worthy comp.

  4. You’re telling me with all the resources and manufactures at his disposal, that rick couldn’t get his hands on the new 2023 P790 or even the P790 from 2021?!? He’s legit comparing the brand new 2023 T200 to a P790 that was released two generations ago in 2019!! So deceptive smh it’s a shame people will spend their hard earned money on new clubs based on a fraudulent video like this.

  5. Sadly my telephone number was scammed using a Rick Shiels mock up announcing a clubs win as an early subscriber to your new channel. The timing was perfect. Number now attracting unwanted traffic. My fault and feel a right idiot.

  6. Amazing video Rick… been excited for this one to drop and held out watching any videos on this iron until I seen yours. Great video, great production, great review 👍 thank you.

  7. I switched from TaylorMade to Titleist irons when the "game improvement" T300 series was fairly new. I've been impressed with the T300, and, since my game has improved, this evaluation of the T200 is quite intriguing! Shielsie, I feel you've got a really great thing going with this new studio and channel. Keep these player-focused reviews coming!

  8. 38 degree 9 iron. Holy enormous gapping issues. Going to need two gap wedges with that. Why can't a company bring out game improvement irons with a half decent loft distribution? Oh but they fly so high etc. Nonsense, they still have a 38/42 degree club etc who cares whats stamped on it.

  9. I recently bought the T-200 set (4i – 48 degree) with the stock AMT Red shafts. This set replaces a Honma TW747 irons set with Honma Vizard 63 gram graphite shafts. I hit the T-200's longer, by 15% every club. Shot dispersion is also tighter on the practice range. After this beneficial change to Titleist I replaced my entire woods arsenal from Tour Edge E722 to Titleist Tsi2 Driver through 5 hybrid. These are also performing better. My average score on my 6,800 yard home course has dropped 4 strokes. Surprisingly I was having trouble with the Vokey SM8 52, 56, 60 degree wedges, just too many unpredictable shots with duffs, shanks, etc. Changed to Taylormade High toe, which are working great. Also changed out the Costco Signature blade putter for a Taylormade TP DuPage mallet. A big improvement. Consistently sinking those 4 foot to 10 foot "knee knockers" with confidence. Me: 71 years old. 13 handicap. Play 3 rounds per week. Walk the course, push a trolley.

  10. Skip the T200 and the P790's and buy the Mizuno Pro 225's. There's levels, and the Mizuno is in a league of its own.

  11. Yeah I feel like you just found a better set of clubs for yourself. I am the guy that thinks the easier your golf clubs, the better swing you will have (tempo and consistency) give it a try in the next break 75 I definitely feel its good content for all that are watching.

  12. One of these days Rick will hit a hole in one on camera, it’s just unfortunate that it will be in the HIT studio and not on the course

  13. Awesome video Rick! I can’t wait for the T350s video! After that can you consider doing a driver review on Bryson DeChambeau’s new driver? I’m just curious to see your thoughts on it.

  14. Great video, great ball striking Rick. But 5-10 hcp should not be considered "average" golfer. This is a bit misleading. These clubs are for low handicap golfers in my opinion.

  15. Another fantastic video Rick! Excellent reviews so far. Being a Titleist/Footjoy supporter and user for many years, it is fantastic to see them making sets that work across all handicaps. 👍👏👏👏

  16. I would like to see an accurate test of the new p790 against the new t200. Having owned both first iterations, I know that there’s a big difference in feel over the years.

  17. Testament for the quality of the four year old p790. Still holding up great compared to this years Titleist

  18. I have an issue with so called “Distance” irons not being more open that they achieve this by jacking up lofts. A 160 yard 9 iron at 38.5* is essentially a standard 8 iron loft (not a 9). Cobra started this 25 years ago with their Greg Norman Oversize models. Titleist and Mizuno have historically done iron design aesthetics better the majority of all other manufacturers. However, thanks to the P790’s it’s no longer a two horse race… Love the content on this new channel Rick – keep it going. Thanks!!!
