MY PUTTER HEAD WAS TOO LIGHT, SO I MADE IT FEEL HEAVIER! #golfvlogs #golfclubs #golfer
I recently bought and restored a classic BRONZE PING ANSER PUTTER, but it felt so light! I felt like I really had to hit the ball hard!
Using a classic GOLF CLUB HOME DIY trick, I internally add weight to the putter to make it feel heavier!

I think I would have had a few putts without plugging and gripping before making the final decision, just waiting for the black shaft to arrive for my re-build, can't get over the price for an authentic Ping grip and as for a headcover you need a bank loan😲, good vid though👍
Great video mate, I think it looks superb! I dabble in a bit of restoration myself, great to see these tips on video as there are not a lot of budget restoration vids out there.
Time to Ping ole James a loss, he'll definitely try to get in your head for overspending on the putter 😂
Absolutely ridiculous inconsiderate behaviour, handling all that sand without steel toe cap flip flops on…🫣
Kettle on ☕️☕️
Comedy Gold Gaz,when I thought you'd left half the alignment stick in the putter. I laughed to soon! Great series.
Am really enjoying this series of videos, Gary.
I filed the shaft with sand and it made the club feel heavier and more stable. Try it!
When build a club at home I simply use set of cooking scales, a measuring tape and a web site called Leaderboard. You find the balance point of the proposed build mark this masking tape with a pen mark is fine to measure fulcrum. Leaderboard asks for fulcrum , club weight it works out the swing weight, you test with lead tape.
Better to use tungsten power, much heavier than sand so you wont need as much, keep it in place with a cork plug. Both available from club fitting websites.
Well done gaz 🏌♂️ 👍
Bit of a futter for putter! Think I'll go fo't wander up ilklay moor Bartat!😂
I went down to the local tyre fitting shop and got a strip of 5 and 10g lead weights. Settled on x2 off 5g stuck to the back of Ping B60 putter face. What a difference. Won a few comps too..
What happened to the seemore?
Good video Gaz, but you NEVER beat James in a match, he’s living rent free in your head! 😊
Need to get some Zircon sand it's super heavy compared to regular sand. Much better for adding weight to club's a little goes along way.
Fantastic job Gaz and well done. Loved the restoration video on his putter
Hi Gary, great series you could try some very fine lead fishing weights instead of sand in the shaft
Great video, what was the head weight of the anser?
Hi Gary great video defo going to try this, where can I get the cork plugs from though please
Have one of these they are very nice – use it for Pitch and Putt – have a Mallet Odyssey for Golf ⛳ !
Maybe it's the weight? It's perfect but seems to be better for small Greens – never gave the weight a thought before – curious??🤔
