The new Ping Glide 4.0 wedges have many new features but a stand out for me was the claim they can lower your ball flight and make your shots more controlled.
I got my hand on a full set of the wedges to see if that was true.

I have the Glide 3 and love them. Love the feel and easy to hit.
Been playing glide and glide 2 in 54/13 and 58/10 covers most eventualities with plenty of spin.
Great review like always you do. Thanks. Quick question what you feel or think is better in this 2 grinds inside of bunker. With all the shots you do
Look like nice wedges.
Nice review Hannah, how do they compare to SM9’s? Thx👍
Great review
I've just got the Glide 4 in 50 and 54 and the glide 3 in 58
Just changed from Ping Glide stealth to Vokey SM9. The pings where great, I needed a 48 though and Ping didn’t offer that. Love the SM9
Another great review. After testing some great wedges recently (SM9, Callaway Jaws Raw, TaylorMade and now the Pings). Which are going in the bag? 😄
Why does no one review the e grind . I have one and it’s amazing
Wedges in particular I find are very personal not only from a fit point of view but also how you play your short game, scrambling etc. after much trying out different wedges, shafts and even grips I have ended up with a mixed set of wedges that I find is more optimal for me and my game – a Pxg forged 50/10 with the cpx grip and a cypher shaft; a 54/08 Ben hogan equaliser ii forged with cp pro grip and ust mamiya shaft; and a 58/08 z grind callaway raw jaws – my go to wedge- with the catalyst shaft and cp2 wrap grip. I also carry for the winter a tm mg3 raw wedge 56/12 with the cp pro grip and the mmt shaft. If I was to replace the other wedges and just have two I would replace them in all likelihood with a callaway jaws raw 52/10 wedge also with a graphite shaft and cp pro grip. Years ago I used to have the ping glide 2s but replaced them preferring others over them – as with irons too.
Glide eye 54 is money. TS or SS 60 to pair with it for the specialty shots, but anywhere within 80 yards I’m pulling the Eye 54 with confidence. Bunkers are easy as well.
where’s the eye grind
I’m just transitioning the 4.0 E grind 58* into the bag. Love the bounce versatility, great out of bunkers and the bonus of the Eye2 nostalgia! Considering putting the T grind in for the 54*
They are brilliant ..I,m playing 50 ,S -12 56 . W14 and 60 W 14.. coming from TM Hi toes , which are still v good.. . all with UST 780 . smac wrap Ion . shafts..
i like your reviews and watching you hit balls
The ultimate wedge control is 1 hour with a good teacher around the green.
