  1. 椅子に座って西山先生の指導通りに立ち上がると体軸が出来るというのが凄いです。身体のバランスが一瞬で変わるんですね。相手から力をかけられても無理なく力を逃がす感じです。感覚はわかるんですが、この体軸を定着させると方法を知りたいです。何回も椅子🪑に座って指導通りにしていたら定着するのでしょうか。西山先生凄いこと開発されました。

  2. As an amateur french practitionner of chinese martial arts, it seems to me that after you got that chair axis method done, you get in a shape resembling the basic posture from internal styles.
    This stance gives you power to resist pushes, but you can also exploit it for atemi and throwing. It is great because it doesn't derive from muscular mass, so no need to be extra bulky, and you can still be very efficient at an advanced age ! A truly amazing thing to explore.
    It is though a very difficult state to attain, and requires a whole lot of work. Many years of training are required to obtain the right posture.

    What is truly astounding is with that chair axis method, almost anyone seems to be able to get a feeling of this type of power from posture.

  3. Vielen Dank, das habe ich viele jahre gesucht, nachdem ich bei meinem Aikidomeister vor vielen jahren diesen effekt erlebt habe. Zu dritt haben wir versucht ihn mit seinem ausgestreckten Arm zu bewegen. Er stand da wie ein Felsen. Niemand hat mir das geglaubt, weil es physikalisch nicht gehen sollte. Heute habe ich ihre technick ausprobiert und es hat funktioniert. ich werde jeden tag die bokken ūbungen mit dieser vorūbung machen.

    ヒトがトータル100の力を出せる(上半身50、腰10、足40と仮定)としたとき・・・例えば腰の力を使って立っている場合、残り90が出せそうだけど、足の力が腰に疎外されて50しか出せない・・・体軸が入り、立つことに腰の力を使わなくなると、全身の力が疎外されずに(力がめぐって)発揮できる・・・って感じなのかな
    西山先生が体軸チェックで胸元を押して、よく「力が腰/背中で止まってる」とおっしゃられるので。その止まっている箇所で力のめぐりが疎外されて、フルパワーが出せないのかな。

  7. I'm not sure your really "strengthening the core". I think you're resetting your body to be more grounded and connected (better tensegrity) to the ground. That's why you can redirect forces better than before. It's very useful, because it makes everything more effortless.
