Jon Rahm voiced his frustration after his first round at The Open, with the fact that his peace of mind, and posterior, were disrupted by camera crews largely following his playing partner Rory McIlroy.

“I’m walking off 18 and trying to deal with the unlucky moment on 18, and there’s somebody with a boom right in my ass keeping up with Rory’s pace, and I can’t go at my own pace. That’s kind of the disregard that existed, that’s all.”

The Spaniard was also frustrated with his own play in windy conditions that yielded a 3-over par 74 which leaves him 8 shots off the pace.

“You have to put it in the fairway, and if you don’t, if you go into one of those bunkers, they’re proper penalty structures for the most part”
