As a business owner, free agent, I wish I lived in a world where my choices resulted in a windfall, regardless of the final outcome. How is it possible or even conceivable, that they the loyalist, should be compensated???
Each one of the ‘loyalists’ avoided the derision, public condemnation and persecution, And loss of sponsorship revenue, while the LIV ‘defector’ were vilified!
Should the LIV Players, then in turn, receive a bonus for their commitment to their decision?

Believing in anything Jay "two-face" Monahan is like believing in the bully that just beat you up that he will not do it again. Jay talk as LIv golfers do not have any rights.
Expect professional golf to generally proceed "as is" through 2024 until all the particulars are resolved. Can't use the merger word even though in reality it's a merger. Comparatively, there is so much more to gain for the Saudis in sponsoring the PGA Tour. The US is the economic powerhouse for the world of golf.

Your false premise is that "the players who left to go to LIV put into motion the union that you are working towards for the betterment of all of the game of golf." They didn't leave knowing that. They left either for the money, pure and simple greed (which is fine), because they were past their prime, or injured, or simply because they wanted to play in events with fewer rounds. They thumbed their noses at the PGA Tour. Why would anyone expect that the Tour should welcome them back with open arms and without consequence? And why would anyone think that the players who stayed loyal to the Tour shouldn't be rewarded for their loyalty?

Players are upset how it came about. They are super upset with the manipulation and hypocrisy.
But The players won’t be against the deal because the deal with pif was always going to be good for the players.
Rory said he would not play with LIv. It’s Rory Rory Rory. And Billy Billy Billy who say too much that does not really represent all the players at all. They both said things recently. They are both mouth pieces. We all know that by now.
All I can say is I’m obsessed with sports for decades and follow all commissioners a Good amount and the pga tour has by far the worst I have ever seen at this job.
The LIv players should absolutely be prepared to say No to returning to the pga tour. As a group. If all the players don’t for a union, the least the LIv boys can have is a text threat or something and stand United.
And still I’m having an extremely hard time how Monahan maintains a 501 c non profit status by just giving money to the players he manipulated before making a hypocrite of himself and his croanies on the board. We need someone to explain that part to us.

LIV players won't get punished. They are just saying that to appease salty PGA players. PGA tour players that didn't leave don't deserve any equity in NewCo. What risk did they take? None. I haven't heard anyvLIV players that want to come back so it's a moot point anyway. It's only worthy of discussion if LIV gets shut down which won't happen. Yasir needs LIV as leverage. He isn't handing over a blank cheque with no input. Dream on anyone that thinks that's going to happen.
If i was LIV i'd tell Monahan and the PGA to kick rocks…..They could bankrupt the PGA eventually and the door is then wide open for LIV to take over golf. PGA did this just to screw over Greg Norman
