  1. If you give them guys at theirs record we say it is feeding them to the wolves. If we put them at their skill level then everyone says they are skipping the line or getting favor.
    lol people just bitch

  2. Definitely not the first time there was 3 fights on the countdown

  3. What do you mean he beat kimbo and they had some super high count out also. I dont remember the number because I saw it like 20 years ago but it was like a fifty count or something.

  4. There absolute were people that thought James Toney had a chance; this was on the heels of Ray Mercer starching Tim Sylvia with one punch, and Toney is a much better boxer than him

  5. Lol. Tony was getting beat up by UFC greeny.
I’ve always known he was overrated. Just durable and brainless.

  6. I remember Hannah guy had a late notice 1 fight contract for Valerie Loureda and she smoked her. Cut her still after that but retired loureda in the process

  7. Almost all of these are last minute replacements for previously scheduled fights against legitimate opponents. Of course you're not likely to find a "top contender" that's going to want or be able to jump in at that time. It's usually going to just be a case of finding anyone that is willing to fight on that short notice, which is more likely going to be someone on the fringes and is just looking to get their foot in the door. I wouldn't say most of these were bought in to lose, they were brought in just to keep the fight on the card. The fact that they were almost definitely going to lose is incidental.

Better examples would be ones like when Sean Salmon was brought in to fight Rashad Evans. Evans was a young star that they were clearly pushing and already had wins over a couple established fighters on the UFC roster. Then they bring in some nobody for his next fight in a clear downgrade from his previous opponents. Salmon was scheduled from the get-go to lose.

It's not hard to find numerous other examples just like that one. Lots of better examples than the ones listed in this video.

  8. Jeremy Horn is left off of this list. A 185er who hadn't fought in the UFC for 4 years brought in to fight for the 205 title just so Chuck could avenge a loss.

Same story for Rampage's first UFC fight against Eastman.
