Who could not be excited bout our team. Monty is coming into his own and that gold medal is only going to boost his confidence and with a few prospects just drafted and Allen we may have our 1A 1B or maybe go and get Fleury for a couple of seasons. Our D core is on lock 🔒 We have so many prospects obviously some will be traded for that Elusive scoring winger and our maybe someone could jump to the wing Struble a la Wendal Clark. We going to have a nice balance and with guys like Beck, Davidson,Roy etc etc etc …

Morning Drew ! Great show and I'm right there with you on your picks. Hughes and Gorton are looking at longterm for the Habs and I hope the fans can be patient and look to the future as well. Some of these prospects ; Measar for example are going to take more time but do we ever have a great line-up of talent in the pool ! Kirby Dach has really blossumed and he's feeling it. Now if Newhook just does the same that will pay off big time. I think Slav has a great deal of potential considering he just turned 19 and while I don't expect miracles I do think he is going to grow into a very important player for us. Lots to be excited about my friend and it's going to be entertaining hockey as long as the fans can keep the longterm goal in mind ! GHG !
Jeff Hughes.. LOL I do that sort of thing all the time with players.. I know immediately I got something wrong too! I can't wait for this team to mature. The Habs have potential to be so good! I can't wait to see how Newhook does this season 🙂
wow Drew , I have to be say I'm quite disappointed in your list, Mailloux didn't Crack your list, Shame I must say , it's quite disheartening to be honest, considering Mailloux finished the 2022-23 regular season by leading all OHL defencemen in goal scoring, with 25 goals … if he was anyone not named Mailloux he was plastered all over habs social media, however as a fan of Mailloux, he gonna be better R D than Reinbacher, or Barron , there's nothing gonna take that away from him , and he will prove it , whether you like it or not , he's a beauty,

Just curious…since you believe (as I do) that Barron is going to be at best a 3rd-pairing NHL defenceman, do you still like the trade (i.e. giving up a top-six forward in Lehkonen) to get him? And if not, are you thinking about doing a 'worst ten' moves of the Gorton/Hughes Era? Because depending on perspective there have been enough to fill it.

As a (long retired) lacrosse player, Lane Hutson reminds me of center midfielder who plays both offense and defense. But is the centerpiece of controlling tempo and flow of game. If paired with solid defenceman, should be part of fun uptempo game. Just a thought from an old guy.
The Habs are still missing a top tier goal scorer. It's been a hole the Habs have had for decades

Great list, i agree with Dach. I can see him being as good or better then PLD. Thats why everytime i heard the jets trade of PLD for Dach made zero sence to me. I can see Dach being a 25 – 30 goal, 50 assists player for most his career
