As the fallout from the LIV-PGA drama continues to unfold, it’s only natural to take a look at the winnersand losers of the merger. Surprisingly though, one of the golfers who at first appeared to be one of the biggest losers may actually have had a better outcome in the merger than initially expected. That golfer is Tiger Woods – but what is it about the merger that likely makes him so happy?

  1. I presumed that post had some new information. I was wrong. All old stuff and Norman will remain commissioner at LIV. NO SUB

  2. I wish people would stop making assumptions, because nothing has been agreed and signed, talks are still ongoing, this is clickbait, nothing in this report is new. So many people are jumping to conclusions, based on nothing concrete. Until the full details come out, people should stop spreading unproven lies. Would have, should have, could have, does nothing for anyone concerned. Let's just wait until the key players get together, and it comes from the horse's mouth, before dragging people down a dead end. The whole thing could collapse yet. The PGA Tour is making this look like they hold all the aces. The people with the money are PIF, not the PGA Tour, who are close to being bankrupt, due to the legal tangle they were involved with, and that could resurface if PIF feels they are being treated with disrespect by the PGA Tour. They need to tread lightly, and they know it.

This could all blow up in the Tour's face, if this is not handled to the satisfaction of PIF, who could buy and sell the PGA Tour with the interest earned from their PIF fund alone. Jay Monahan may well be asked to resign over the way this has been handled, if the truth ever comes out, which I doubt will, lies will cover the corrupt antics of the management, who dragged top players into the argument. This has done nothing for the Tour, in fact it dragged it to a new low in it's history. Jay Monahan, is lining his own pocket, and has been far from charitable, against the background of being charity based, especially with how he dealt with LIV from the off. Remember, golfers of the future, children, are watching all the back biting and underhand shenanigans from the PGA Tour, not a good example. This is and was always about power and control, plus greed from everyone concerned. The tour and everything about it, has become one huge, grab what you can for as long as you can, no matter who you upset or fall out with, a greed ridden Tour. Money corrupts and this proves it.

  3. Greg Norman is my hero ! I hope all is well for him. I can remember when he dominated the pga for 5 or 6 years

  4. The "only issue" that PGA Golf is facing is: How can the PGA include the Saudi Investment Group. (PIF) It's really not about an agreement between LIV and PGA. But since the PIF owns LIV is the "only reason" LIV is a part of the conversation. To me, the willingness of PIF to fire Greg Norman to facilitate a deal shows that PIF is willing to compromise. Because of this, I feel like the question just hasn't been asked of PIF to discontinue LIV. I mean if the terms of ownership of the PGA Tour, would mean they would have to dissolve LIV, I believe they would agree to it! So the PGA needs to find out how much leverage they really have towards a deal they want. Just do what the PGA players want to do! Take a closed vote, so that nobody can see which player voted for what. Have a meeting to disclose results and move in that direction! It's time to Move on!
