Get out popcorn this is just the start, and there will be many turns before anything is ever agreed. If at all.
Bro have you forgotten the JFK assasination by the CIA or the FBI's killing of Martin Luther King???? The morality issue is stupid or you are stupid!!!!!!! If you do not want a foreign government taking over a usa industry for selfish reasons then i have some simpathy with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We'll all remember this as the time when Jay Monohan sold out PGA to Saudi.
I'll just say what everybody is thinking. Nobody cares about Jamal Khashoggi. You fuck with powers as big as the Saudi royalty, and you put yourself at risk of being capped. I don't know hardly any details about the whole situation, but I don't have to. When media (including golf media) decide to use something like that as shame tactic, we should all be able to see through it. Our media will never talk about Gary Webb, who ousted our own corrupt government. I have mad respect for the Saudis and how they operate their nation and culture. Don't act all self-righteous and think that we as Americans hold the keys to morality. We allow drinking in public, and women's MMA. In Saudi, that's looked down upon. Our culture is different than theirs, and honestly, we're probably going to pay the price for it. They have strong family values, something that we have lost in our culture. Saudis are crushing, and we should be taking notes.
This guy is concerned about the morality of the Saudis. He was CEO of AT&T who willingly collect data on your every move. Give me a break.
I would prefer if there is no merger and both tours do their own thing. LIV doesn't need the PGA Tour. As long as LIV gets owgr now LIV will own the world tour and the pga tour has their american tour. That's a win win for world golf. The PGA Tour doesn't own golf and their attempts to do so will be unsuccessful snd will only lead to their own tour being diminished. The PGA Tour never gave a shit about golf outside the US and growing the game. They also dont give a shit about players. This whole Democrat charade is pretty laughable. If the merger is stopped it will ultimately allow the best players to have a choice where they play. I'm confident most will play the LIV world tour.
Does Eamon Lynch ever listen to himself, and think…Hmmm…? I doubt it.
PGA doing a great job , no wonder he quit. , Don't think Jay's gonna be there long , getting more like CNN , all the spin will make ya dizzy
What Eamon doesn't realize is that if the deal doesn't go through another 10-15 players leave for LIV
Stephenson is a terrible racist. If he is gone that is good thing. Wants the genocide of Europeans
Spare us the morality argument. Remember Al Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and CIA Black Sites. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
LIV Golf should not exist, no one should talk about them, they should not be allowed to have a golf league. No golfer should want to be part of it. Get rid of LIV Golf.
I really hope this deal does not go through so LIV can finish off PGAT and people like Eamon and Brandel in the process. Those in the ROW wont miss PGAT oppression of world golf being over. PGAT did its job masterfully locking all the talent in the continental USA unlike the ATP tour which plays tennis globally. Saudi's or anyone with money was always going to win opening golf up to the globe and younger fans.
Liv are increasing player from 48 to 60 next year — 12 teams to 15 — this means less gaps for spectators at events — was at Centurian Sunday — 20 x 3 balls can be accommodated in a Shotgun format — means 12 players — probably at least 10 from PGATOUR signing up
Rahm apparently signed before US Open — but delayed when Merger Announced — No Deal made public
Liv will continue of the current 48 the bottom 4 play off with other contenders from Asian tour to get team slots 2024 — really need to jettison probably 8-10 players — but this could become end of year process in 2024 also some of captains who are currently protected – protected timeframes start to expire —
Currently 14 events this year — if merger goes ahead — could be reduction of pga designated events to 6 and liv to 10 — so players can play both = 16 plus 4 majors – most non usa players play 2 events in home country so 22 total manageable for most
Liv only needs a maximum of 2 in USA — BUT MORE WORLD EVENTS –
Currently 8 in USA 1 in following Jeddah Mexico Australia Singapore Spain UK — total 14
If deal reduced to 10 but keep 6 Designated PGA 72 hole events – LIV usa drop to 2 but add India and South Africa — Singapore event may switch to alternate country – possibly S Korea
LIV is nothing but Arab paid players. Team outfits? Look like 2 year olds
Make a big deal of LIV getting money from Saudis How come is ok to get oil but not money
This is what Congress is doing now?
With everything that is going on the senate is investigating this. One who cares it is just a game and two they have more important things to do.
Human rights violations doesn't quite cut it. they buy and sell children.
Saudi Princess Amira Bint Aidan Bin Nayef has revealed that children, especially the orphans, from countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Djibouti, Somalia, Nigeria, Romania and Bulgaria had been bought and rented as sex slaves in Saudi, Dhaka Tribune reported on Sunday.
The legal fees might be considerable, but the PGA Tour couldn't get existing tournament sponsors to double their investment for elevated events. The Tour had to cough up the money, an additional $10 per event. Hard to compete against a bottomless pit when it comes to money.
