In very windy conditions, Rory McIlroy birdied the 17th and the 18th to win the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open by one shot from local favourite Robert MacIntyre at the Renaissance Club. This was McIlroy’s first ever win in Scotland, his first win on European soil for 7 years and he also became the only golfer to ever win the Irish Open, Scottish Open and The Open!

Absolutely amazing birdies on 17 and 18 in those conditions! Hard luck to MacIntyre who produced one of the greatest 2nd shots out of the rough on the 18th to hit only the second birdie of the day at the closing hole – until McIlroy arrived and made the third!
