  1. I think Jeetan is talking Murphy up and Lyon down. You can't say a guy who is 22 yrs old and has played 4 test matches, is as good as a guy with Lyon's record. Experience alone counts for a lot, not to mention Lyon's skill level.

  2. Murphy bowled pretty well in the India series. Actually, he seemed as an intelligent bowler. He loops in a bit more, gives more revs and spins more, but he also has the drop and uses the length very intelligently. And if I remember well he spins both ways. He is a good spinner of the ball – he is different to Lyon who deceives more on length. So, in my view, Murphy could go for runs but he will be taking wickets. He also adds depth to their batting. I feel that he must be looking forward for this – India series and now Ashes would be awesome for him. He will give his best.
