As a Cockney Macc fan (long story,won’t bore you with it) I think the result doesn’t really matter. The real winners here are the fans and communities of both clubs. Yes it would be easy to go and find a Premiership team to support but football in the lower leagues is much more than just a game. It genuinely brings people together both young and old and to some it’s their chance to get out of the house and socialise with others. Both these clubs were run appallingly and in both cases were wound up. It’s obvious that harsh lessons have been learnt and the result is we both have our football clubs back. I wish Bury nothing but the best of luck for this season and beyond and obviously I have to say,COME ON YOU SILKMEN!!!
