Man the amount of times all the receivers just ran straight and turned around was so frustrating as a chargers fan. Felt like Joe just saw how hard Justin threw it and expected it to be too fast for the defence every time, and it wasn’t
Derius Davis was drafted to be the KR/PR. He will be niche as an offensive weapon but he can take any PR to the house. In Ficken we trust 🙏
You made my day talking about pat white in this modern age
Can’t wait to see how they let everyone down this year again
Because we played so much Cover6, I'd love to know the run defense numbers between Asante and Adderly over the top (cover2 side). Seems like there could be a direct correlation with that particular side in that look struggling vs the run…sure the bolts had issues up front in run defense but ALOT of the big plays given up were MA's by the secondary
Lombardi and Moore aren’t too unlike, there’s just two things. Lombardi was terrible at in game adjustments, he was very smart and new how to gameplan throughout the week leading up to the game, but once the D threw that counter punch he had nothing. And Moore commits to the run more, yes he might bomb it deep more than Lombardi, but Lombardi couldn’t establish the run and get chunk plays from play action cuz he never committed to it.
Wondering if we need a new strength & conditioning coach and program with all our injuries
Darius Davis was drafted because they lost Deandre Carter and needed a new returner. Was one of the best returners in college! Wouldn't be surprised if they brought him in on some gadget type plays on offense like you said!
Where do y’all get your numbers from?
Eh, chargers gonna charger. Not really worried about em.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
I have been waiting for this one. I also had no idea you were doing media for the NFL directly. Congrats
Justin Herbert has a lot to do with those 10 Wins and he has to be catered to because a franchise QB isn’t easy to find.
Glad the Offensive line is looking way better than previous seasons and drafted a young talented WR kept Ekeler and I’m sure Kellen Moore will utilize Spiller better than Lombardi.
Let’s Go Los Angeles battle Chargers!
Da Da Dah Dah Da Charge!!!!!
🐴⚡️🏈
The author of “Low Effort Sacks” now works for the Bolts lol. Ain’t life grand!
Somebody tell K-9 to keep his head up when approaching a opponent. He always seem to choose the wrong gap to hit and then he's always looking at his feet instead of up and looking for the runner. Give someone else a chance at his position, it couldn't be any worse and maybe someone else will develop better than Murray. It's been 4 years and he's probably worse than when he was drafted with a first round pick.
Last year the season turned negative during the first Chiefs game when Everett was hurting after just making a great catch and run. Then was obviously diminished getting to the next play and Lombardi calls a hurry up and targets Everett again. Resultant pick-6 and lost a chance at winning the division.
I still remember in Lombardi's first interview he said if you can score 24 points on average you win.
And then I knew this guy is a prick
In the first season everytime they had 24 points they stop throwing and started running into walls like they were running a lot but not only in games where it was working but also when you have 3 and outs the 4rth drive they would still run it …
And the season after that changed to 27 points that was when the offense just dropped of because suddenly apparently it's good to call bad offense. that is also why they lost so maybe games in the second half and last quarter.
It's because Justin often had those 24-27 points early in the third quarter. And that gave the opponents plenty time to catch up especially if you can't run the ball if your one dimensional it's so bad.
Fouts had one of the most explosive arms in Nfl history and i still 100 percent agree herbert is better physically.
As an Ohio State fan Cam Brown is simply not that guy.
Chargers go 9-8 and miss the playoffs.
Nobody should ever take the Chargers serious. The franchise will always be a joke with the Spanos family in charge. All you have to do is look at their history. I say that after being a fan for 40 years here in San Diego.
Let's go bolt gang⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️❄️❄️
Man imma chargers fan so I’m done buying hype we gotta prove it
Did we buy you that penthouse view lol
2 key things to a successful chargers season: 1st is health. They fired their last personal trainer from last year. We have to see how things go with that. They can’t afford to get decimated again. 2nd is consistentancy. Injuries plays a part of it. Justin Herbert having broken ribs for 10 weeks didn’t help them. Joe Lombardi’s short passing offense didn’t help anyone. If they want to at least go to the playoffs with this tough schedule, it’s gonna come down to depth because injuries happen it’s the NFL. Can they have consistent depth with their system and in general? We will find out this upcoming season. Wouldn’t be shocked at all if Brandon Staley gets fired but if he matches what he did last year if not more, he should be fine
Lets not get into this, again. Its time to start debating the topics the PLAYERS should be informed of US Fans wondering when the team starts putting in more work during practice weeks because it shows in games they practicing on the fly within the games. Struggles, mis tackles, no 3 and out D and always showing fans they already tired by 3rd quarter. These issues is what the long time fans want to not see and hoping they play beyond opposing teams of tiring them out as the way they play starts in practice weeks. EFFORT to be consistent is the key for these Chargers before any such rah rah our roster is better mo bull>?.
As a German, Ryan Ficken is such a great name
Now we have a new strength and conditioning coach with a better track record, so lets see how that pans out.
Chargering: I got remember when they had the number 1 offense and defense(I might be wrong) but they had the worst special teams which cost them
The QJ tornado spin move 🌪
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brett really flamed Acho! Fcken respect ya bro!
This will be Staley's last season at the Helm… Kellen will be promoted to HC, and Pat White will be promoted to OC.. a superbowl can only save his job
Just found this podcast thank god
Chargers should have never left San Diego, they will NEVER be embraced by LA.
@8:13 Brett states he isn't a Kenneth Murray II guy. Nobody is a Kenneth Murray II guy. We are all hoping this is his final season in L.A. and his all snaps are taken by Eric Kendricks and Daiyan Henley.
Health is the chargers enemy
Every time i tell jags fans that Davis going out allowed them to win that game they just suck on trevors balls and say how much better he is than herbert. Crazy shit but I'm glad y'all gave davis his due
MY BOLTS GO 17-5 TO LIFT THE TROPHY AND THE BET IS SOMEONE WILL GET INJURED HOLDING IT UP
we have the talent to make a run. have a goog buddy who worked 18 yrs in the NFL as a strength and conditioning coach (Giants, Eagles, Jets) who rates our new S&Cas A1. Gives me confidence
The offense should be at least 28 points per game.. (exceptible). However, any defensive collapses with a 3 TD lead blown 2 or 3 times this season and SMH.
It was so frustrating watching good defenses like the broncos just sit on all the short route concepts that Lombardi would call. That put a lot pressure on not only Herbert but the receivers too. If a receiver dropped or popped a ball up for even a second it was getting picked off 9/10 times
I will never understand how people think Kellen Moore is goign to save the Chargers. The last two playoff runs for the Cowboys ended with embarrassing playcalls lol.
Definitely a fantasy football podcast💩
Haven't the chargers had an awesome roster and the second-coming of QB-Jesus for 3 years now? The hype on this super-mid, failure team and their overhyped earned-nothing QB is so ridiculous. I
I’m really excited for the chargers this year. Kellen Moore and Herbert is a fantastic pairing.
Bolt up ⚡️⚡️
Yo this is what I been waiting for since my Chargers moved to LA. Great job boys. Love the content and solid takes. I am excited and I pray for a healthy season.
