If Lynch wants to use human rights as a litmus test to do business, then the PGA should have a problem with China also. But they don't. Why is that?
Saying LIV didn't win is clouded with bias
I would say this ignorant man's time on TV is quickly coming to an end. Thank God
Jay Monahan and the PGA had no clue what they could be up to on the lawsuit … unfortunately in the end the court wanted the PGA (Jay Monahan) to open their books but Jay M. refused …. that decision was a catastrophic error a blunder of EPIC proportion …. as such the PGA and JM was Checkmate. Jay lied to the PGA players …. he told them "don't take the $ dont go to LIV …. in the end he did the exact opposite … Jay took the deal (only who knows how much $ he is going to get from this deal ) and sold the PGA….. talk about Hypocrisy that is Jay Monahan….
Choker Rory McIlroy nowhere to be found … he and Cry baby Billy Horcshel are at Hooters with Greg begging to get a deal …. unfortunately there is lol nothing left for them except a job at the cleaners. Good for them what goes around comes around.
Funny to watch the pundits eating 💩, and trying to say it’s chocolate ice cream! 😂😂😂
Eamon forgot journalist lesson #1: When you find yourself in a hold, stop digging.
The thing I keep coming back to is that a sovereign foreign government now owns golf in this country and world-wide. They can hide behind this Saudi Investment group BS all they want, but the Saudi government and royal family now own this sport. I'm also concerned about how this will impact the LPGA. Long supported by the PGA, is the new ownership (and it's known and documented misogini) going to continue to support it?
Eamon working hard to not have a golf broadcasting job next year
That is unbelievable, sellout, I personally will never watch golf again, You money-grabbing sobs. The worst of it is getting in bed with Trump.
Right on Eamon!!!!
This is a classic example of winning a battle but, losing the war.
If the PGA tour had any class at all they would take all the criticism themselves so that the players are being bashed for their decision.
Not fair when the PGA created the criticism around leaving for LIV in the first place.
This is a great day for all golf fans.
I will never watch golf again.
Jay will soon succumb to the same fate as Chris Licht, who just resigned as CEO of CNN
Looks like the PGA is being taken over by a rebranded LIV Tour. Gun violence in the USA is the biggest human rights abuse in the the world. Saudis Government did not act in the 911 attacks. Saudi money was earned by oil/gas exports to USA. LIV had enough money to defeat PGA Executives for their alleged business wrongdoings in the ongoing cases in the courts. PGA lost to LIV – but are allowing face saving for PGA & just want peace with growth in golf tours & business together.
BREAKING NEWS: the PGA bends the knee to the Saudi's and their MONEY. I feel really bad for the PGA tour players that chose to stay with the PGA and not be lured away by the big $$$$$$$$$$$. Now in hindsight, I guess the loyal PGA players should have taken the big payday like all the other players who showed a real lack of integrity and F'd up morality and got into bed with an oppressive and murderous regime.
In the end, we all will remember who the 'traitors' to justice, loyalty and integrity are. I'll be cheering for the loyal PGA players and never the low life players of LIV.
It was kept in the dark because Jay was being greedy for himself.
Strong words. "Burrow their noses into the trough themselves." "amoral stooge for murderers." wow.
I know one group that has integrity and that is the Golf Channel.. I personally got Rush Limbaugh throw off the golf channel. I'm sure you all remember when Rush was on with Hank Haney.. Rush had mocked Connie Chung with a broken English accent mocking Chinese people. I wrote 17 letters to the Golf Channel including all the on air personalities that someone of his character and racism should not be promoted.
I figured it fell on deaf ears. A couple of months later I saw my caller ID light up with the "golf Channel". The person then said to me that they got my letters and decided that Rush would never be on the Golf Channel again.
When the reruns came on Rush was not included.
Eamon and Brandel, love watching these simps cry …..
It's hypocritical for people to be blasting the Saudis when your own goverment kilks hown many babies each year? The US goverment on behalf of Zionist joos have spilled more blood and carried out more coups and setup puppet dictators all over the world. Bombing innocent women and children, look to your own backyard Americans, but youre too stupid!! "We will know our disinformation campaign is complete when everything the American people believe is a lie"
You nailed it Eamon! Monahan might as well ride off into the sunset! Then the Saudi's can totally disgrace the PGA Tour hierarchy by making Greg Norman or Phil Mickelson commissioner!
How can a merger go ahead when the CEO of Liv doesn't even know about it? Can someone explain this?
Exactly when did the difference between right and wrong become a quaint concept? The PGA is now essentially owned by the country that funded 9/11,ISIS,and chopped up a journalist into little pieces. The things that used to define people, like honor and character don't seem to matter anymore,in sports or anywhere else. With enough money ,Monahans and Mickelsons, you can seemingly whitewash terrorism.
The beginning of the end for golf!
Spoiled rich brats!
The public will decide!
Bad move……for us
Yes Eamon, theirs alot of unknowns, so stop talking BS.
I dont believe they didn’t have any viewers because they had the livplus golf app. I only watched liv since its inception. The way Jay handled everything from the beginning made me stop watching the pga tour
Sportswashing is the stupidest term. These guys have money and want to put it to use. Maybe they just love golf but hate the current products and see how they can make it better
Jay Monahan must be fired! Rory Mcllory sided with the Saudi's too! He said that the Saudi's are, "one of the biggest sovereign wealth funds in the world." This is disgusting! Rory also said that "10 years down the line" the world will have forgotten about this. Tell that to the children whose parents died on 9/11! A year ago, I wrote a letter to the PGA a year ago in support of them banning golfers who've betrayed our country to play for LIV golf. Now, the PGA supports genocide, LGBTQ hatred, and they've turned their backs on 9/11 survivors. What does that say about our federal government that sits by and twiddles their thumbs and does nothing. Our government will allow this merger as long as they can make money too. It means what it's always meant. That money and power are more important than human life. This is a dark day in American history. It will get worse.
It's bemusing to watch the three-dozen strong LIV golf fanbase trolling
social media to gloat at the capitulation of the PGA Tour, and with good reason..
It's a stark lesson to be sure. Money trumps any principled moral stance
one might take
in today's business culture and fractured society. Greed rules.
Eamon is not wrong when he said these sellouts couldn't wait 'to "burrow their noses
into the trough themselves." It doesn't matter who fillled the trough nor the purpose
behind the over-generous feeding. It's just the reality we live in today, unfortunately.
Unfettered greed makes people forgetful, unprincipled and blind.
Well, it's pro sports, so obviously it's about money, always will and always has been. But you're right – both the PGA Tour (or the media channels supporting them, for that matter) should have kept their moral high-ground discourse out of their mouth from the start, because it was hypocritical from the start. Bashing the Saudi money, while taking big sponsorship money from large corporations with dubious backgrounds (for example 3M's role in public health scandals, Volkwagen Group's role in ecological fraud, just to name 2), is pure hypocrisy in service of financial interests.
Hence, from a PR-point of view, obviously this turnaround is surprising, but when it comes to the PGA's history of actions and commercial associations, this decision is perfectly aligned with their previous financing policies – not surprising at all.
When players started leaving the PGA, Jay Manahan made a HUGE mistake by playing the "moral card". He basically divided everyone. The PGA was loosing players, revenue. Jay, basically failed by rejecting LIV instead of finding a way to work together. Now it is back fired on him because everyone knows he probably got a big pay raise to merge and he looks like the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Jay needs to be replaced. He created this mess and division. POOR MANAGEMENT.
This is everything that is wrong with capitalism, profits over everything. Now lets see if the fans will actually care or if the billionaires will be proven right and laugh at you all the way to the bank.
Lol Eamon and his high horse.
Why is anyone surprised by this? When it comes to business and profit, there is no moral high ground- LIV golfers and the PGA Tour, demonstrated that. Every country, including the United States, does business with each other despite human rights violations. Clearly, if enough money is dangled in front of your face, all sins can be forgiven.
Miniature bone saw key fobs for everyone !
"Phill is a stooge for murderers" Ummmm…..someone remind Eamon the US and Europe spent the last 20 years bombing civilians.
Eamon loves that cheap Saudi gas though.
The Saudi's getting a piece of the PGA,
is like letting the Fox in the chicken coop,
and the LIV players started all this mess!
Now the Saudis will move on to other sports, like NBA, MLB, and NFL!
All so Saudi Arabia could “ REPAY” Trump and have a PGA Tournament at one of his golf clubs!😡😡😡😡😡
The other elephant in the room, have there been any PGA events in China ? if so why the hoo haa on human rights in Saudi ? Aren't the Saudi Political Allies of the U.S. ? WTF man
when is the 911 MASTERS GOING TO BE SCHEDULED ?
LEAVE PGA ALONE
