  1. It is illegal, in tournaments but for hacks who cares.

It does help, it reduces friction, which greatly reduces spin, the enemy of distance and when hit poorly, accuracy.

I am 100% going to do this Friday against my friend who Ibplayb2x a week and we are always 2-4 strokes away from each other.

  2. Great science experiment when you can't hit a consistent direction in the slightest. Jesus how are you trying to be a golf influence

  3. Maybe try this with someone who can hit their driver?

Dude says “should I even try to hit with the center of the club face.”

Yes, and from the first three balls you don’t know how.

  4. He’s got a Ventus velacore shaft and he hits it like that lmao dude should just use stock shaft he’s not worthy to use expensive equipment 🤡

  5. Considering more spin stabilizes the ball flight and makes it more difficult to fade or draw the ball, it should not!

  6. Chapstick or Vaseline works bc you get less spin on the ball reducing hooks/slicing

  7. My buddy and I did this last year just to have fun instead of losing balls constantly. Just him and I playing never competitive with anyone else. It oddly took away my slice after I stopped using it. I don’t know if it was just a confidence thing or what but I lost the slice and gained a snap hook!

  8. I don't know about this trick but I watched a video by Rick Shields once that did truly help me straighten up my drive tremendously although I was slicing it and not hooking it. If you're the kind to slice, what he recommended was instead of pulling in tight which will cause you to hit off the toe of the driver, try to take swings in which you are diagonally pushing away from your body, literally within the first swing I started hitting straight. My father was slicing as well and I made him watch the video and he had fixed his swing rather quickly although he is super stubborn and finds himself falling into old habits later in rounds 😂 that's all good for me a win is a win haha
