  1. I picked up a new RadSpeed 3 wood for $140 about 9 months ago, and it performs and feels incredible imho.

  2. I’ve got the 425 lst and love it, tried others and they just don’t feel or react as well for me

  3. Love my Nike vapor fly that one still preforms, but got fitted this year for an Aerojet and it absolutely goes. I like hitting fairway woods in general and really haven’t found one I didn’t like across the brands! Try them all and pick the one that fits your game, great video Pete!

  4. My Ping G15 still blasts through the competition, and with a gray glitter finish that looks a bit more exciting than a simple black gloss

  5. "Things going on worldwide to raise prices" its literally the manufacturers that are price gouging the hell out of everything because the pandemic and worldwide issues provided them with a believable (but completely unfounded) excuse

  6. Gaming the STEALTH '22 Driver, EPIC Max 3 wood, and a B21 BIG BERTHA 5 wood. TaylorMade SIM2 MAX OS irons, Odyssey TRIPLE TRACK STROKE LAB 7.
Will probably go FULL STEALTH 2 by Christmas, and STEALTH irons.

  7. I think a 7 fairway wood is a great option…especially when low number irons become very tiring. Very easy to get nice loft.

  8. I have a TSR2 3 wood, & I absolutely love it! It's more forgiving than you'd think, & it's a rocket launcher. I average around 310-315 yards with it set to 16.75° (I live in Utah & play at just over 5,000 ft elevation). I swear the face of it is like a trampoline, but one you can somehow control.

  9. i just got fitted again for new irons went cobra had taylor made sim max , and out of all the drivers and 3 woods i hit the clear winner for me (13 handicap) by a large margin was the paradigm , i was hitting every club 15-20 yards further with the tightest dispersion . I couldn't believe how great they felt . I have been a loyal to taylor made but this wasn't even close!

    excellent video as always!

  10. I have the Ping G425 Max driver, and the G425 5 wood. The driver is the best I've ever had. I'm not in the market for a 3 wood, but if I were, I'd look very hard at a G425 – much lower price than the G430, and I expect it performs almost as well.

  11. Have the driver ping g430 LST, when I wanted to get a 3 wood, the only options at my golf shop were sft or Max. I got the max and have been doing okay, but feel the LST might help me more so due to fast swing speed and tendency to slice

  12. I use a Callaway Epic Flash 3 wood with an x stiff hzrds black 75g shaft. I can’t see it leaving the back any time soon. I still think it is the best sounding club I have ever heard. Which is amazing considering how awful the driver from the same family sounded.
I can hit a consistent distance. It does have a bit of a lower trajectory but my local course normally has quite firm fairways, so it runs forever. And I’m still quite comfortable with it if the deck too.

  13. The cost of clubs has been a real dealbreaker for me. I need to practice, I need to play, and if I get really stuck on something, I need to get a lesson now and again; all of these things take money, so spending SO much on a single club just isn't an option. I've gone the other direction and gotten a DTC fairway- the Sub70 939. It's not ideal to get DTC clubs, but I was shocked that the builder was willing to speak to me for over an hour to understand what I needed and how to spec the club. It saved me a bunch to use on greens fees and buckets at the range, and I've been crushing it on the course. That said, I'm a 16 handicap, so maybe if/when I get down to single digits, fittings will be more important.

  14. By far the best 3 wood out there today… I have hit them all and this one is just different… $500 for a 3 wood is just brutal though…

  15. I struggle to see the use in a 3 wood for me or most people. I’m not any better off the tee with it (just shorter), so I’d really just be getting it for that once in a round maybe when I’d try for a par 5 green. Pass.

  16. I have the Ping 425 driver, 3 – 5 woods and also the rescue club as well. Love them all four. They will not be leaving my bag anytime soon.

  17. The 430 max 3 wood is £330. Why is the LST nearly £200 more expensive? That's madness. When I bought my 425 lst driver it was the same price as the max driver.

  18. Love the LST but I’m with you on price being a big barrier. I’m still playing (and loving) my Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero at 16.5*. High launching off the ground and very controlled off the tee. I’ve tested side by side with similar 15* 3w and the 16.5 is just as long off the tee and 5-10y longer off the deck. Can’t see it getting kicked out of the bag anytime soon.

  19. I paid £140, £97 and £135 for PXG gen 5 driver, 3 and 5 woods respectively on ebay and also picked up 2022 0211's 6-PW also from PXG, used just once on the range and once on the course for just £150. Almost a full bag of current almost new PXG clubs for just £522, or the price of the Ping G430. Granted not custom fit but as a mid to high handicapper depending on the day I don't think custom fit although nice is currently necessary.

I also picked up Callaway big bertha cf19's for £185 and B21 4 and 5 hybrids for £145 the pair.

If you have the budget or simply must have the latest clubs then go for it, but my advice is consider second hand. With a little patience there are some epic bargains out there.

  20. None of them. Titleist tsr 3 driver. Taylormade stealth 2 5 wood titleist t300 irons 4-pw 3 vokey wedges based on your bounce and distance needs. Putter-scotty -after this never look back for another club for 5 yrs minimum! Ball titleist pro v1x. Glove mizuno baseball glove-it's so sweat-trust me-you'll never look back at a golf glove ever. Off to the majors…

  21. I hate paying $500 for a driver. $500 for a 3 wood is crazy. I don’t care how good they think it is. I am in the market to get one but I don’t think I’ll be looking at the ping solely on price alone. Too bad too they make nice clubs.

  22. I've got the cobra sz 3 wood it's a brilliant club and you could probably pick one up now for around £100 if not less. £500 for a 3 wood is a joke

  23. Unbelievable what it costs for new woods. So, I've purchased used fairway woods in the last year (Ping 425's). Got my driver during PXG's sale last year. The down side is finding the right fit, particularly on used clubs. So, are we paying for the personalized fitting when getting new? If so, maybe it's worth it for some buyers. Doesn't work for me.

  24. I game PRGR 3, 5 and 7 woods. Very good and will give these big brands a run.

  25. Just get the ping 430max for forgiveness. Everyone thinks they need the lowest spinning clubs 😂

  26. You really had me in the first half. 😂😂 I saw the three you were mulling over and thought “man ping really doesn’t get much love overall.” Then you pulled it out and said it’s going in your bag. AWESOME. It’ll be three generations before I’m able to put one in the bag but there will absolutely be one in there in a few years! Enjoy it! Can’t wait to see more about it

  27. Still using Callaway Steelhead iii woods. I carry a 5 wood and a 7 Wood have tried others over the years including Ping and Taylormade and always end up coming back to these might not be as long as the latest but so reliable.

  28. got the STEALTH 2 HD 3 wood and 5 wood and LOVE them…..great clubs….great video Peter…cheers from Canada

  29. I really fancy getting these pings in driver and fairway wood but not at that price that's ridiculous
