  1. After a 20 year golf layoff i started again this year in march. i dropped from a 30 hc to a 24.3 hc. your add 1 shot to each par is one of the best tips ive gotten. thanks matt. cold here in RSA.

  2. Best advice i ever got on the swing… Imagine a plane if glass behind you. Press your right butt cheek on the "glass" when winding up, roll to press your left butt cheek on the "glass" during the swing. When i started imagining this during the shot i started making good contact with the ball.

  3. Thanks Matt, I needed a refresher. I’m teeing off in a couple hours, I feel good about today.

  4. The best tip Matt's ever passed along, in my opinion, is NEVER count your score during a round. That has has helped me to stay in my next shot and easily shaved 4-6 strokes from my rounds.

  5. It'd take a hell of a decision to beat a hotdog and beer at the turn… 😀 It is great advice, though! We weekend hackers overwhelming miss greens short, which comes form assuming we'll hit the number for a club; unless I'm crushing the ball or I need to avoid a hazard, I usually take the distance to the back when picking a club. I also think checking out the PGA Tour site's statistics is great advice. We all need to manage expectations, and seeing how many times pros miss gives us the context to set more reasonable goals and make it easier to forgive ourselves our misses. The Non-negotiable point about knowing how you play when tires/nervous is on the money. I tend to get tired on the back, and it effects my accuracy and my miss moves right; knowing this, I need to stop expecting to hit the shots I hit early int he round.

  6. I’ve been flowing Matt’s channel for a while now. Love how calm and collected you are. You’re tips are explained in a simple fun manner. You understand and cater for all of us golfers. Even a hacker like me lol. Keep up the great work Matt. 👊🏻

  7. Trying to break 100, par as a social concept and adjusting is ur best tip. And now I walk never cart. Dropped 12 shots in past few weeks

  8. A couple weeks ago was playing, one of the holes can be driven, however, danger to the left, danger to the right, danger in front, and go too far and you are in the parking lot. Myself and one other in the 4 some took out a comfortable iron and laid up to a good distance to set up our second shots. The other two decided to go for it. The two of us that laid up made par and the two that went for it got bogeys. Best advice was to play my game not someone else's.
