Good to see it over. The publicity didn't help the sport at all – which hurt everybody involved. It wasn't that long ago that there wasn't enough money to fight over.
Gannon even had the new Prodigy CEO on the bag at masters cup last weekend
I threw a found in the woods prodigy GB D1 yesterday, before I gave it away. You can thank me. I sealed the deal.
I'll support Gannon, but will not buy prodigy. Ever!
U look much different than i imagined 🤣
Great video and coverage.
It was Prodigy that breached the contract in the first place. It was a DUMB move to sue a 17 yo child, makes Prodigy look REALLY BAD!
STOP PICKING ON THAT KID AND GIVE HIM WHAT YOU PROMISED PRODIGY! OR YOU WILL NEVER SELL ANOTHER DISC IN AMERICA EVER AGAIN!
I’ll still never buy prodigy
I wanna see gannon with Innova with Calvin and dudes. literal dream team for Innova for two of the biggest players, it'll bring people back to Innova
I think there's a chance Gannon resigns with prodigy. If he likes the new guys at the top (had the CEO on the bag) and they offer the money who knows?
Both parties are at fault here. Gannon’s complaints were incidental. Yes “technically” they were in breach and clearly that is enough to file suit. But I am sure there are were remedy clauses within the contract. I’m glad this is the resolution. It gives Gannon a clean slate going forward and prodigy its reputation, although tarnished, might be more salvageable.
I just can't with Prodigy. It has nothing to do with any of this drama. I've picked up two mystery boxes in my "collecting phase". Both had 1 Prodigy disc. An F1 in 400 plastic and a D3 in 500. Both of them almost unthrowable because the flashing roughed up my fingers so bad. I work with my hands so they're pretty tough. Very calloused. Even so, after about 5 throws with either I can definitely feel it. Yes I can sand that down, and did so, but I shouldn't have to. Its annoying. Just my two cents.
it shows how mentally strong he is to be still a teenager and his first full year on tour without focusing on school and to be right at the top behind Calvin all the while this nonsense has been going on.
yes, Prodigy "won" because a contract is a contract and it is too far in the season for Gannon to be trying to fumble with building a new bag. This shows that no longer should disc golf be looked at just a recreational activity but an actual sport like MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL or even MLS from a contractual standpoint. gone are the days of Ricky and Paige opting out of their contracts early without consequence and that is a great thing for the sport because it puts it into the business realm of things.
You’d think these companies would just let the athletes go , gotta know it’s just hurting their reputation. Contract or not in the media it just looks like your holding someone hostage
I know I'll get flamed but I think Gannon acted like a child (and his mom) during this. Prodigy is in a no win situation here, but Gannon really made himself look like a petulant child.
