  1. I like these penalties. These are ‘the best drivers in the world’, they should be able to stay in the lines.

The fia just needs to keep it EVERY week. Not new rules every race

  2. This is apart of what’s wrong with F1 drivers. None take accountability unless it’s something good and just try to continue to call out other people when they’re in the wrong. The rule is quite simple. All four tires passed the white line is off track. What happened this weekend wasn’t a stewards or FIA problem. It was a F1 driver problem. All these spoiled brats deserve all the penalties. 20 cars, over 1200 off track penalties in less than 3 hours. Like gtfoh. These are supposed to be the best drivers in the world. Again, not a stewards or FIA problem. These drivers need to tighten it up.

  3. Saintz has been better than LeClerc for almost the whole season. Saintz has improved as a driver and has stayed within the limits of what the car will give him. Charles all year has been trying to get 114% out of the car when it’s only capable of 90% of the Redbull. Well actually I don’t think any of us actually know just how fast the RB is when it’s cornered so I feel like that 90% is being generous. But you get my point. What makes Charles great is what has made him so bad this year. Love and die by the sword type thing. Mistakes are mistakes. No matter how you chock it up. It’s why Ferrari strategy team is a laughing stock and why we alll just roll our eyes when Charles sends it in to a barrier again. But there’s Saintz, always there 3rd, 4th, 5th. Level headed. Not crying any more than out of the ordinary for a F1 driver. He might not still have the potential of LeClerc at this moment. But he’s the better all around package right now. Can’t deny that.

  4. By far, my favorite one was Zhou saying he was P2 because he didn't get a penalty for track limits 😂😂😂 not exactly a meme but an A+++ tweet

  5. As both a Ferrari & Leclerc fan before he said no I got 2022 flashbacks and all I could think of was “oh god not again 😭 “ and then thankfully he shut them down

  6. Remember last year when we all complained about them missing track limits? Well they sure caught them this year 😂

  7. I don't understand the negativity with max being top in every session, when you lot were quiet when Lewis was doing the exact same thing year on year.

  8. If the penalty was for max no one would have cared. Even worse the fans would ask for more penalties

  9. The cars have GPS and most likely some state-of-the-art with centimeter grade accuracy right? And I'm fairly certain the tracks these days are also measured very precisely. At least I remember reading that for some simulation games they've taken ultra-precise measurements for the ultimate realistic behaviour.

So shouldn't they be able to automate it? A 10cm error should be way more than enough with the current technology, even 5cm should be doable. So as soon as the car's GPS reports a position outside the track, it will be noted automatically.

  10. Race disqualification would be a great deterrent.

If these are supposedly the 20 best drivers in the world they should be able to keep it within the lines. They know where the lines are they know how to drive the car and keep it in the lines.

If they don't want to add gravel on that corner they should consider disqualifying drivers from the race for repeated track limit offenses.

Start like usual with a five-second penalty, then a 10-second penalty, and if it continues go to a 30 second penalty and if it still continues kick them out of the race. They will learn super quick to stay in the track limits.

  11. I subscribed for a bit after the move but, to be honest, this channel is not as good as the old one. And I know Matt loves Tom, and I mean no disrespect, but Tom on camera brings down the quality of the episodes. This is the only episode I watch on this channel these days.

  12. The track limits thing isn't new at all now. When they first got strict people were saying it might be too many penalties but the drivers will adapt. Now it's just the drivers fault for pushing too hard. They can stay within the limits and show this every year at Monaco.

  13. As a Verstappen Fan i screamed NOOOOOOOOOO when they suggested 3 Stops to Charles 😀

  14. Hey Tommo, if I won a pair of tickets I’d take my fiancée. She’s finally become as obsessed with it as I am. So for our first Grand Prix we’d love to go the the hungaroring, Fernando is her favourite driver so she thinks he’s got a good chance 20 years later

  15. Xavi : "What do you think about 3 stops?"
What he really meant : "I found the worst strategy, can we please do it ? 🥺"

  16. I think you wearing the Redbull shirt is just a lucky charm for them now 😂

  17. I think the issue with track limits was how long it took for them to be announced to the drivers, etc. Track limit violations need to be much quicker, as the drivers need the feedback to know where the line is, and how much risk they can take. I think Hamilton’s main issue was that he was effectively given three warnings all at once and well after the first one had occurred, at which point he has to change his approach substantially, where if you are notified in a timely manner you can make smaller adjustments and find the edge you want to be living on. Post race penalties also don’t make a ton of sense in something like this. The PGA changed the rules around this sort of thing a while back where people would call in penalties on players for doing something incorrectly that was not captured by the rules officials etc. which was also largely unintentional (like ball was dropped in a slightly wrong spot), and could cause disqualification for signing for the wrong score before, now there is a time limit to it, and they won’t disqualify you for it.

  18. I can't help but think to myself, that this wouldn't of happened with Charlie Whiting around. Since his passing, there have been a few occasions where a big debate and discussion around fixing something. Things like you can't cross a white line meaning you can cross 2 wheels and 80% of your car kind of stuff. They get 2 warnings. 3rd one there black flagged. Then drivers would of listened

  19. It seemed like they were only policing turns 9 and 10 though. Was pretty sure I saw plenty go off at 3 and 8.
