Play it like a 3 wood. Position the ball between middle of your stance and reg driver ball position. This promotes hitting slightly down into the ball as with a 3 wood, and creates a little more back spin to lift the ball into the air. Most people only use fairway woods because that’s how they have been taught, learned and know it, but building belief and confidence by learning to hit driver will gain you distance and an advantage over other players too.
