  1. I started using this swing thought few months ago and it pretty much completely stopped my slices. My "wiggle" now consists of having a P1 to P2 with this swing thought.

  2. Excellent, excellent video Eric. Those three thoughts are great. Honestly, I think every golfer would benefit from those three thoughts. You’re exactly right. If you clean up the takeaway, the golf swing becomes so much easier.

  3. I loved this lesson and have been working on this move for several months. The DISTINCT feeling that I had was that my clubface was being "dragged" slowly behind my hands on the takeaway. It's am amazing feeling and when you "check" your clubface at lead arm parallel, you will always see that the clubhead is right on the target line, the left elbow is IN and the glove logo is down. This "feeling" is the most obvious with the driver and my driving immediately improved with length and accuracy. THANK YOU!!

  4. An awesome lesson!! If folks go back and look at some old video's (with the slo-motion) of the famous Count Yogi's golf swing, you will see this exact move. He was considered to be one of the BEST ball striker's (perhaps just behind Moe Norman) of all time. Long and accurate w effortless motion.

  5. "This swing thought will change your golf swing forever!" Eric should have used that intro for THIS lesson. Most of the other on-line instructors use that term for EVERY lesson!!
    THIS one actually….WORKS!! Good luck!!

  6. I’ve been working on this recently, getting my left shoulder down with better club positioning in takeaway. Unfortunately it’s casing my head moving downward & towards the ball which is causing heel strikes and the dreaded shanks, any tips on getting the left shoulder moving down without centre of mass moving too close to the ball?

  7. The Matt Wolfe, or Jim Furyk reverse loop is a good thing to “feel”. However, you’ll look nothing like them on video.

  8. Eric looking for a specific video you made on how the forearms rotate instead of wrists to square the club face. You were working with another instructor on this that had an aerial view as well. I cannot find it and i'm wanting to rewatch it! Thank you!

  9. 🔥🔥🔥👊👊👊. This is part of my issue, old habits are hard to break

  10. Great Lesson Eric! When your hands are moving in and you keep the club head out it feels like you are above the plane but when you view the video of your swing it becomes obvious that the club is right on plane. The added bonus here is that your arms stay connected with your body and the shoulder turn is so much easier.

  11. Great stuff Eric!
My issue is the downswing. I feel like a deer in headlights sometimes and lose speed.
Would you be able to cover that scenario?

  12. Great lesson. Would you agree that this one thought is for all clubs since the only change is the length of the club but the swing is the same?

  13. here s my question ; will left should tilt in backswing be greater equal to or less then right shoulder tilt coming into impact?

  14. I needed this video! I had both of my knees replaced this winter, and have recovered enough to start swinging the club full speed. My buddy has a golf sim at his house, and I went there yesterday and hit over 100 balls. The results were awful. Way way too many swing thoughts. This simplifies things perfectly, and makes my brain hurt less. Thanks as always Eric 🙂

  15. THANK YOU! I took a lesson recently and realized my backswing had gone bad. Your idea to keep the left elbow pointed down was exactly what I needed! I've been working on this last night and all day today, I do it all the way to the top. With video and a mirror, I can see for the first time ever in my swing the clubhead makes a proper swirl coming from the top down and then out behind me. I always had it backwards because I rolled my left elbow and laid the club a bit. Your video along with one of your buddy Saguto's videos totally fixed my takeaway and backswing! This will fix a hug power leak in my swing, thank you so much for this!

  16. Excellent. Justin Thomas does this. I now do this as a slow pre swing move then straight into the swing proper. First class instruction.

  17. Eric to set the club and get to the top of the backswing is it a case of just bending the trail elbow and keep rotating?
