Good Morning Football: Matt Ryan’s 15 year NFL career is underappreciated

  1. Jamie, my family started watching you & the guys while we were having our dinner & now it's 9:19 pm of Tuesday still enjoying your entertaining & informative Football updates. Good choice to highlight the Falcons QB.

  2. QBs getting the blame for losses that were far and away the fault of the defense, is horrific. Ryan was a GREAT QB, he just stayed one year too long.

  3. Nah, he's properly appreciated. He doesn't deserve the HoF, but being remembered as a guy who was pretty good and played for a while is what he's earned.

  4. He’s got a better HOF case than Rivers, Eli, Russ, and Stafford. 3/4 of those guys will get in. Very under appreciated, but stuck on bad teams often

  5. The sad thing is, most people probably would remember him by 28-3 or 33-0 because he spent most of his career behind Drew Brees in the NFC South.

  6. GMFB today just emphasizes how much better the show is without Jason M. His bristling insecurity, his strangled enunciation, like he's getting over a speech impediment, his lack of charm makes me wish he'd get traded, maybe to a regional broadcast team reminiscent of Dan Deardorf.
Not every retired player has the charm and sparkling personality of Nate Burleson but Jason is not really ready for primetime. He adds nothing to the program.

  7. As a falcons fan and a Matt Ryan Stan the 4 playoff wins and no win above 7 in his final 5 years is a devastating stat by Kyle against his HOF chances

  8. I’m the biggest Matt Ryan fan but let’s be honest dude is not a winner at all.

It can be because he stood with ATL that literally never gave Gave him anything no great defenses no great offensive line no running game.

When he did have that with Kyle well he won MVP in was a first down away from a Super Bowl championship in Super Bowl MVP

Or maybe it’s because he never took any pay cuts to get more great players around him 🤷🏼‍♂️

Whatever the case may be he’s a not a winner in don’t got that mentality
    🤷🏼‍♂️

But he is underrated in he is a HOF

  9. Matt Ryan, best Falcons player ever, NFL MVP, pro bowler, All Pro, Offensive Rookie of the year, best player in his draft, top 10 in all QB stats, QB of a Top 7 all time offense; all he is missing is a Super Bowl win; he deserves to be in the HOF.

  10. I’m not sure if one game ever truly destroyed someone’s career the way Super Bowl 51 does for Matt Ryan. I really think if he wins that game, he’d end up in the Hall of Fame, with what actually happened, I’m not sure he’ll ever get in.

  11. Let's be honest, if Arthur blank wasn't so in love with matt ryan, he would have got cut by 4th or 5th year of not wining a superbowl. You are not worth a decade like drew Brees, Big Ben, Eli manning, arron rodgers, hell even Russell wilson….bcs they all have atleast one. Matt ryan is not a decade caliber quarterback. Yall all say the same crap about stats and his poor offensive line, but in reality, he is a "nice guy" or a nice white face that doesn't dog fight if you really want the truth. Matt ryan will always be average at best who overstayed his welcome and would have been cut at any other team

  12. I have created a formula that analyzes how great a quarterbacks career was. My formula compares all the great quarterbacks to the average quarterback of his era and then to all the other great quarterbacks. Matt Ryan is the 15th greatest quarterback to start a career after 1946. You compare him to Philip Rivers and that is a good comparison because Rivers is a top 20 all time QB. he and Rivers are both sure Hall of Famers. Slightly better than Big Ben
