So in the 2000 U.S. Open Tiger took out some balls for practice and his caddie didn’t realize it. As a result he was down to three balls on 17, but his caddie feared to say anything. Tiger gave a ball to a young fan then hit a ball in the ocean on 18. With his caddie shaking, Tiger took a second shot from the tee — and safely hit the fairway. He went on to win the tournament by a record 15 strokes.
