Q.
The player’s ball has come to rest on the lip of the hole, overhanging the lip. How long can they wait for it to drop in, and what if it drops in after this time?
.
A.
The player has time to reach the hole, without an unreasonable delay of play, and then a count of ten seconds after this.
This player’s ball fell in after the ten seconds, so they had to count it as a penalty stroke, and the ball is now holed.
