On this week’s episode of GOLF’s Subpar, PING’s VP of Fitting and Performance Marty Jertson joins former PGA Tour pro Colt Knost and jicky jack legend Drew Stoltz for an exclusive, in-studio, interview. He talks competing in Majors while working for PING, the impact his Stack System has had on Tour players’ swing speed and which PING staffer has been the most impressive to work with over the years.

  1. I love Colt and Sleez and love the podcast. I have to say that Sasha who Marty mentions a lot is unprofessional and an online troll who uses fake accounts to try and trick people into buying his poor training aid. One of the fake accounts he used to tell me "How can you wanna be a golf instructor and not know who Dr. Sasha Mackenzie is". I know that this was Sasha using one of his many fake accounts that he uses. I googled "Dr. Sasha Mackenzie" to find out who he was and found a pattern of an account making a post about the stack system and then there will be 5 or 6 replies with people making glowing reviews of it all. I know that Sasha is the one behind all these ghost accounts as the posts are a commercial and not how real people talk. I personally don't think that this stack system is beneficial for the average golfer. The average golfer needs to slow his swing down so that they can hit it straighter before they work on increasing clubhead speed. That's not as sexy and so few teachers stress the importance of this. I think increasing clubhead speed would be beneficial for players that are single digit handicaps and below but would be harmful for anyone worse than that. If you have someone who hits the ball off of the toe at 80mph and slices it into the trees. If he increases his clubhead speed and hits the ball off the toe at 100mph he will then slice it further into the trees. You have to crawl before you can walk, and you have to walk before you can run. This is only beneficial for very skilled players and the average person shouldn't buy it if they want to get better at golf. It might increase your clubhead speed but that doesn't always correlate with lower scores. I personally won't support anything that Dr. Sasha Mackenzie does by the way he acts online with his fake accounts and how he trashes anyone who disagrees with him.

  2. Rickie has definitely had a little bit of a mental block on Sundays. He's been playing better than anyone but just couldn't close the deal. And you know he was starting to feel the pressure. So this was huge that he got the monkey off his back. This could really open the floodgates for multiple wins for Rickie
