Sergio Garcia says he has ended his feud with Rory McIlroy in the wake of a proposed peace deal between the US PGA and LIV Golf.

The former Ryder Cup teammates fell out after Garcia’s joined the controversial tour. McIlroy has been one of the most vocal opponents to it.

Players who joined the breakaway tour were initially threatened with sanctions and expulsion from the PGA and European Tours.

Earlier this month however, the three bodies announced their would pool their commercial rights into a new for-profit venture, ending all litigation, and any players who wished to re-apply for membership to the American and European Tours, would be given the chance to do so.

McIlroy has admitted he still “hates” LIV Golf, but Garcia says the Irishman has put his feelings aside to rekindle their friendship.

  1. I'm not surprised that Rory McIlroy is trying to rebuild bridges with legendary LIV Golfers, this should never have been about vilifying individual players for their professional choices.
