Rory McIlroy has been at the center of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf saga since the start. Wednesday at the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, one day after his Tour merged with the DP World Tour and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the world No. 3 was smack dab in the middle again fielding questions on a move that rocked the golf world and sports landscape at large.

Jay has to go
It's the Koepka Effect. It was only a matter of time before an LIV golfer won one of the PGA's precious major tournaments. Now that it's happened, the PGA is in full retreat; walking back all the bluff and bluster they put out there when LIV was formed. Greg Norman must be having a good laugh over this one.
Lol he could have gotten 600 million lolololol

Name Change: Prophet Golf Association

A brat!
dont understand what 9/11 has to do with PIF. Did they ever link Al-quaeda to saudi government?
🤪Pathetic🤪Remember the PGA guy who cried on TV saying he will never sign for saudi royal mafia because he has two of his relatives who died in 9/11 ⁉️
🤢🤢🤮Pathetic🤢🤢🤮
Jay is a hypocrite and worthless!
Hypocrisy didn't protect the European tour , basically left it join the PGA tour
Rory is pissed he got no offer from LIV
I knew when this whole thing started that jason/rory/billy were all full of bs. The smell coming off them was sticking in my nose and I couldn't get it out. Now they are coming up a completely new line of bs about how they are in charge. Well it stinks bad just like their original line of bs.
PIF was going to buy the sport globally one way ir another, rory knows it and Monahan knew it.
To me, this is just a waste of time. The PGA Players still have a job and they will still get paid for playing. I lived through the Sprint-Nextel merger where thousands of people were laid off for years and I lost my job in 2009'. So these guys have nothing to complain about. Purses will grow and hopefully, they will get better venues to play.
Rory Mcilroy, what a man. Perhaps a better man than a golfer. Now a pawn and even a scape goat too? There are indeed many questions to ask and many cover ups yet to occur because you must ask yourself is this just the beginning of a long fight that will make our beloved game suffer more and more until someday everything will change for the better? So here are some questions that may never be answered and some that are obvious to all that will be flushed out in the open in the future.
If Phil Mickleson knowingly reported before he was silenced that the PGA Tour was not treating the players fairly, was he right? Did Phil start the snowball rolling down the hill which lead to others thinking about the massive amounts of money the tour generates, and we can get some too? Thus business savoy Gregg Norman arrives with the Saudi's and the rest is history.
Has any ever wondered how much money goes into the hands of the PGA Tour?
Is it true Jay Monahan makes over 20,000,000.00 per year tax free?
Does the PGA Loan the money to its officers and directors to avoid taxes?
How much are the Directors and Officers paid out of the proceeds?
Is it true most other sports pay out to their players 50% of more of the take?
Is it true the PGA Tour pays out and estimated 15% only, to the players?
Where is all the money gone or going, as the players are not getting a fair share?
Will the PGA Tour open their books or continue to hide behind a non-profit corp. status?
How much is the highly fought after TV revenue alone generate by modern day?
Did the litigation in London require the PGA and LIV to open their books?
Would more players revolt had the books been opened?
Could the the PGA Tour take the risk if the books were opened to the public?
Were and are the players exploited by modern day revenue sharing standards for professional athletes? Does money trump morality?
Was LIV really ready to fold?
Will the Dept of Justice continue on with their reported investigation?
I agree with a previous post, I smell a R—. Something here stinks real bad. A Hypocrisy or a Joke on the Fans and the Players?
Consider the recent history of FIFA. The Dept. of Justice flushed out the criminals and brought justice for all back to soccer.
The players never were informed or had any say so in the activities right or wrong by participating and being loyal to the PGA Tour. They were and are pawns and they know that. They are scared to answer question in their televised interviews. Some are now scape goats too. Many will loose their privileges when LIV players return. How will the LIV players be received by the fans? Did the PGA Tour galvanize the fans against the Saudi's. Is the hypocrisy of the actions by the PGA Tour acceptable to the fans? Is the reported billions the Saudi's have invested into this new business joint venture entity with the PGA acceptable to the fans and our Dept of Justice? Will the deal be secret just like the current PGA corporate status? Will the fans treat the PGA Tour like the Bud Light boycott or the Target boycott? Will the players, especially those seeking tour status income levels ever be treated fairly or be treated to a new program where they can grow and prosper according to their skills.
I believe the Players and the Fans have the power to stop all the lies, cheating, and activities that hurt our beloved game so much. This is evidenced by the Green Bay Packers and Manchester United where the players and the fans own and operate a publicly held corporation. I musk as if "Unions" are a way forward and does this shoe fit either? I suspect untold amounts of money would become immediately available and flow into the coffers of a new business entity created by the players. Would you as I would by some stock in the first offering? Stock offerings would be sold out over night knowing the millions that now flow into the coffers of the PGA Tour and as the stock would become priceless in the future should the tour really grow in a way that's best for the players and the fans. Why do you think the Saudi's want in? The are several firms with the expertise to make this happen for the payers and quickly. So what is your vote? How should we proceed? How can we restore the game for all concerned all around the world and simultaneously all become friends again working together for a common goal and the game of golf? Maybe Phil and Brendall could even become best friends again! Let us welcome the LIV players back home so to speak and the players decide how to work out those details for the betterment of all concerned. Let's get on the road to success and off the road of deception and unhappiness. The fans and players can do this!
Until next time.
And all the washed up D.J.'s and Macelroy's are laughing at the PGA. All the way to the bank. PGA just pissed on all the players who stayed loyal. A dark day indeed.
