Can u change ur shot tracer?
Good job Jerome .. The reason you couldn't draw at times was because your lean shaft impact mini swing contradicts with your forearm roller mini swing. Don't OVERLY worry about the bowed wrist and leaned shat for your draws .. You were flinching when combining the two .. Just stick with one mini swing ( rolling forearms) and go with it .. flinching will break down everything regardless of how hard you grind …
I'm literally working on the same thing right now, I get out on the course and get so tense I slice and shank everything! Good job, Jerome 👍
I just started golfing a month ago and your videos have been such a big help.
Swing looking good! Regressions happen to us all. Although it may not always feel like it, your new low is usually better than your last so that means improvement. 💪 💪 💪
Chris seems like such a chill dude
Looking so much better!!
Wow, teaching a bunch of compensations. I hope these lessons are free.
@Jerome Rufin what is your lowest recorded round?
Try slowing down that backswing… your practice swings look great.. but aa soon as you hit a real ball.. you rush the back swing..
These videos are great, and Chris is awesome. I’m not sure if maybe Chris has brought this up, but you don’t really need a lesson every single day. Maybe once or twice a week and then plenty of time to actually grind out and get repetition with what Chris is telling you. Filming yourself making sure you’re hitting certain positions, understanding certain feels etc. I know when I get a lesson I need at least a week to grind out a few hundred shots on my own to really grasp it then by next week it looks a ton better. Great vids tho!
i could tell right away he'd practiced the roll through impact ad nauseam at home lol. breakthrough moment. fun lesson
Been following your journey. You have made so much progress. It strikes me that you said that the second round you played with your coach was the most fun you have ever had… Keep that. All the process stuff and the piece by piece learning is part of playing golf. After 40 years I am still trying to master the process and am always learning. The joy of golf is the fun and the memories and the struggle. Keep up the great work.
Instead of waiting right before impact to roll over, square the face early. As soon as you start the down swing, feel like you're twisting the club face toward the ground. You'll be hooking it no time and make Chris proud
Would be good if we could see the TV as well. Thanks.
Your right hip is slightly swaying on the way back. A way to stop that is to have your right knee slightly bent in at set up.
Ask Chris
What an awesome transformation to watch. As the swing improves, the mind seems to calm down and confidence is growing.
Jerome’s new nickname is Mr gigglesworth!! 😂😂 love it buddy
When will you stop saying like!!
Dude, i have been playing for years, had a 4 year brake and now im back , an honestly your swing looks better than mine…. Your issue here is just squaring the club face, but you look good man….
i can tell chris really know what he is talking about you got a great coach there keep up the good work and keep practicing you'll be rewarded one day i promise 👍
Loving the light bulb moment after changing to a stronger grip. I play a really strong grip and people tell me it's too strong but it works really well for me.
What a super nice, and patient coach Chris is. Pure class. Swing looks better with the new grip 👌
Chris is so patient. All the questions would drive me nuts.
All hail Chris ! Jerome you're way beyond beginner as Chris stated. You will be balling soon !
Chris is chill af
Looking good at practice. Seems having an alignment stick puts you close to the same position and distance from the ball. Notice you didn't hit one shot near the out of bounds net. You now know the true SHAPE OF YOUR SHOT. This will help you find your ball if you lose track of it. You know my shot NORMALLY goes this or that way. You were off balance on the course on follow through. You have to bend and maintain knees when ball is below your feet. Ask your coach what is the ball flight tendency if the ball is below or above your feet and you have to plan against that particular flight plan.
You Never have problems with Early extansion?
I hope he really ditches the "need to flip" that will kill his consistency. If you are counting on hand-releasing timing to hit a draw there is so much that can go wrong
Please have coach check your take away and check video. Most times you hinge wrist at take away and then try to hinge them some more at the top. Other times you do the "push the wooden block" type take away at 45 degrees and then set at the top and then drop into the Inside Slot.
Jerome is doing so well. Good job man. I am sorry I got much more joy in watching the two guys behind him. We had the squatter with the ball cap on backwards and the swayer admiring his address position wondering why he is hitting behind the ball. They need to see Chris.
Too bad getting to scratch means spending way more time on practicing 100 yards and in then hitting full shots.
hahaha The clap when he said my left hand feels like its doing all the work hahaha attaboy!!! Way to go Jerome and Chris .. this is GOLD for everyone starting off in the game!!!
Practice warm up and back hand push ball/sweep looks good. Just thinking that you should take the last mat at the driving range to avoid extra bodies and you can talk more freely. I'm not seeing the auto hinge. I see the triangle take away and balanced finished. The ball will cause your arms to be much closer than normal. I don't see your feet flared out. You should always have a target and or alignment stick to give practice more purpose so you'll know on the course where the target should be relative to your shoulder. You should have a driving range with distance markers to help speed up your growth on the course and use the 200 yd white marker, 150 yd blue marker, and 100 yd red marker in the ground or sticks on most courses.
Correction. I see your feet flared in 28 minute
Looking real good in the 39th minute. Most can attest that our game gets good around the back nine after we're warmed up, tired and slowed down just a tad. Your 6 ball and push ball drill is looking excellent. Watch this video on the first Tee Box on your next outing. Use alignment stick or your golf club on course. Hold club, let arms hang, use the club handle to aim your feet. Then Don't move your head but use your feet to aimmove the club to aim your feet towards target.
a lot of goof players play with strong grips
The real issue is ball position. Swinging slow (more so rotation) with the ball further back in the stance produces some of the issues seen. At 32:24 the ball is further to the left heel and you hit a draw.
Hey Jerome, so great to meet you the other day at the Mission Trails Range. My daughter and I were the hackers right next to you and appreciated the extra balls you gave us, but man we were both very sore after hitting way too many balls. Golfing only for 3 months and already looking like a pro is a great accomplishment… so keep up the good work and the count down to Mr. Scratch!
Hope to see you again at the range soon… I'll be there sometime on Saturday and definitely on Sunday with the family. Hopefully you've got a tee time somewhere today, but if not just enjoy Sunny San Diego and whichever range you happen to "Drive" to.

It doesn't seem like the ball tracers exactly match the shots because some of them look good and you're not happy with them.
Keep up those questions as they pop into your head bud, guaranteed one of us watching would ask the same thing. Your struggles (and successes) are mirroring mine at the moment, glad to be on the journey with you – keep it up! 💪
What is a good price for a lesson? roughly
how doe?s practice off a mat transfer to hitting on grass?
Could u record a video on your own summarising what your fundamentals are – that you are working on at the moment? I know that content is in each video but would like to know what you're thinking of following Chris's coaching.
Can you give a little more content on the short right hand with the grip
